00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more on tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Nish. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's start things off with what happened today.
00:09Scattered activity associated with the ITCZ affected various parts of the country with an isolated strong thunderstorm noted near La
00:19Brea.
00:20Now, periodically unsettled conditions continued across Trinidad into the evening and through near sunset in Tobago.
00:27There were reports of street flooding and tonight you can expect a few party cloudy periods with showers becoming settled
00:35and slightly hazy with a light breeze as the night progresses with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and
00:4226 over in Tobago.
00:44For tomorrow, your wide-brimmed hat would be a good choice because generally sunny, slightly hazy and breezy conditions expected
00:53despite some cloudy interruptions with showers during the early morning and afternoon.
00:58There's a low possibility of thunderstorm activity favoring Trinidad.
01:02And while all that is happening, a mild to moderate concentration of Sahara dust will be in the mix as
01:09well.
01:10Daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:16And your weekend conditions are looking promising with mostly sunny skies, but we will get the breeze and we will
01:23get a few isolated showers to cool things down a bit.
01:26So our sun times now in Trinidad, sunrise is at 555 and 552 in Tobago and sunset at 604 in
01:33Trinidad and 601 in Tobago.
01:35And if you have plans to be out at sea tomorrow, seas will be moderate with waves 1.5 meters
01:41to 2 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
01:45It's now time for your tide times.
01:55Now, you know what happens on a Thursday, I take you back to school.
01:59Now, fill in the blank.
02:00Rainfall that occurs mainly during the afternoon due to strong heating of the ground is called blank rainfall.
02:08And the answer to that is confectional rainfall.
02:11This type of rainfall is common in tropical regions like Trinidad and Tobago, especially when there's plenty of heat and
02:19moisture available.
02:20It can develop quickly and may produce heavy showers, thunderstorms, gusty winds and lightning.
02:27Well, now you know.
02:28And that's all for weather tonight.
02:30Sergio, tell us what's happening in sports.
02:32Keep me updated.
02:33Oh, pain and agony.
