00:00Hey, it's Adam 12 weekday mornings from 530 to 10, 1057 WROR, the ROR morning show with LBF.
00:06And if you're looking over my shoulder here down this alleyway to what looks to be wetlands and
00:13you're thinking, wow, that looks like maybe a scene from Stephen King's It. Well, you'd be
00:17pretty close to the truth. I'm actually not in Derry, Maine, but I am in Western Maine.
00:23I'm checking out Norway, Maine, because there's a brewery here that I want to check out
00:28for my latest edition of CanCheck. And there's also all these other cool places that I like to
00:33check out when I'm down here, like I'm just past the Raven and I'm about to pass
00:38Handmade Maine. And I want to show you another place before we head off to the CanCheck.
00:42So this is a place called the Tribune. Lots of cool used records, lots of cool books.
00:49I believe it's the sister store of a place in Oxford, which I'll talk about in a little bit,
00:56but I want to head in first. The Maine Bookhouse, that's the sister store that you got to check
01:01out. And I think that's who you want to follow on the IG. You're following me back down the
01:06street here so that I can get you the latest CanCheck. So right here on Main Street in Norway
01:12is Norway Brewing Company. You can see the logo. You can see the shingle hanging out front.
01:18They are celebrating their 10-year anniversary. They opened back in 2016. This is the Main Street
01:24entrance, but I'll bring you around to the side because it's interesting to me, at least,
01:31as someone who works in radio, someone who works mornings on the ROR Morning Show.
01:38The beer garden part of the No Worry Brewing Company is right across the street from a radio station,
01:45W-O-X-O. I'm going to have to have a conversation with them and see if they'll carry the
01:50ROR Morning
01:51show on their airwaves. Syndication, baby. That's where it's all at. Anyway, I've been here a couple
01:58of times. When I come pass through this way, I make it a point to come check it out. There's
02:03a
02:03little view of the beer garden. I don't want to go in there and make a ruckus because people are
02:07enjoying their afternoon respite and their beer. But I did go in and I did enjoy, it's called Lust for
02:16Gold. It's No Worry Brewing Company's take on a West Coast IPA, and it was absolutely delicious.
02:22Crisp with just the right amount of hops and 6.5. So, you know, heavier than your usual, but not
02:31so
02:31heavy that it's going to knock you on your butt. So again, I think if you're coming through Norway,
02:39Maine, then the Norway Brewing Company is a place that you should go. I think, obviously, when you
02:46make your way through here, you shouldn't stop there. You should make your way downtown just like
02:50I did. And I think you should also come over to W-O-X-O Radio and tell them that
02:59you want to hear
03:00the ROR Morning Show from Boston syndicated on their airwaves. Now, I'm just kidding about that last part.
03:07I just think it's adorable that there's a little local radio station across the street
03:10from the local brewery here in downtown Norway, Maine. I'm Adam 12. Thank you for watching the
03:17latest edition of CanCheck, and I'll be back again soon, probably with more beer from Western Maine
03:24and see if I can find any other local radio stations that might be willing to carry our show.
