00:15to a destination. My favorite destination here is a place that you will see shortly.
00:21It is a place where there is beer, because this is the latest episode of CanCheck,
00:27coming to you live from Ebenezer's Restaurant and Pub, right by the Lake Kizar Country Club. So
00:36don't park too close, or you could get hit by an errant golf ball. But we are going to go
00:40in and
00:41enjoy some beer at Ebenezer's Restaurant and Pub in Lovell, Maine, one of my favorite spots to drink.
00:48So I have some partners in crime with me for this edition of CanCheck. This is my brother,
00:52Nate. Say hi, Nate. What's up? You can say it into the microphone. It's okay. I know it looks fuzzy,
00:55but it won't hurt you. Cliffy, as has been on a previous episode. I have. Hello, everybody.
01:00We're at Ebenezer's here in Lovell. It opened in 2000. Well, actually, the Lively's took it over
01:04in 2004. Since then, it's become a literally worldwide destination for amazing craft beer,
01:10mostly Belgium beers. They've got a cellar full of like a thousand rare beers. They've got a
01:14rotating tap of about 35. We're going to go in and check it out. What's the first time you came
01:19here,
01:19Cliffy? Oh, right when we come up here, I would say 20 years ago. Okay.
01:24Okay. Okay. So yeah, so shortly after, it kind of changed hands. And Nate, you and I have been
01:27here with my brother a couple times. Yeah. So we're not going to be those obnoxious guys that
01:32make a video at dinner, but we'll come and kind of recap and tell you all that we ate and
01:36all that
01:36we drank afterwards. Yes, we will. Cheers. Okay. Post meal and beer at Ebenezer's here in Lovell,
01:44Maine. Nate, what did you have? I had the Belgian golden ale. Yes. It was very good. From California,
01:51Nate's was, which was tremendous. Cliffy, what did you have? I had the Czech Hilsner all the way
01:56from Czechoslovakia. Well, not really. No, it's New Hampshire. Yeah. I went Belgian. I went with
02:02a Lambic. All of them were tremendous. I can't, and the wings. Oh my God. Some of the best wings.
02:08Yeah, for sure. Everybody says they have the best wings and know where to get the best wings,
02:13but I'm telling you here at Ebenezer's, it's next level. The food is fantastic. It's pub fair.
02:18I don't want to call it elevated because that sounds snooty, but it's like next level pub fair.
02:23And again, as we said at the beginning, right? Like this is the Mecca for beer heads. People come
02:29from all over the world to Ebenezer's here. So were you happy with your meal and your beer?
02:35Oh, yeah. Very good. Absolutely. Nice cheese steak with extra garf on it.
