00:32I'm not definite about it, but it just would be impossible to be as bad as they were last year.
00:39And there was a lot of encouraging signs.
00:42There were athletic, you know, plays.
00:44There was more team speed.
00:46There was certainly more of an attempt from a coaching standpoint and a scheme standpoint to be aggressive or to
00:56at least confuse the other team with potential aggression.
01:01The thing that I'm selling is I think now I've seen enough.

01:07I believe in him as a playmaker.
01:10I think he's a ball hawk.
01:11I don't want him off the field, but I don't want Mikey Sanders still covering anybody man to man, especially

01:29There's been a lot of talk post week one about Antonio Williams.
01:33He's been incredibly impressive or he was incredibly impressive in that performance against a really solid secondary in the Philadelphia
01:40Eagles.
01:41He who were posting his separation score.
01:44He led rookies.
01:45Now he just needs more snaps to get kind of on the list with all the other wide receivers, but
01:51his separation score was a 0.818.
01:55Casey Concepcion was the second highest score with a 0.182.
02:00So Antonio Williams is already showing off his route running promise.
02:05So I'm I'm starting to get high.
02:08I might be putting in a ticket on him 20 to one for offensive rookie of the year.
02:11Now, I understand Jeremiah Love still kicking, but Antonio Williams very good so far.

02:23Antonio Williams really was an excellent route runner in the first game, especially when he was a big part of

02:39So in the 26th, clearly they got to get him on the field for more snaps because he is an
02:47absolute precise route runner.

04:14And I am not sure why we're so high on him.

04:23He's not a Justin Jefferson.
04:25I think Stephon Diggs is going to outperform Terry McCorin.
04:30I would not be sad if Terry McCorin was not on our team next year.

04:37He was on the Dolphins last year, and my husband's from Miami.
04:40I mean, a Dolphins fan.
04:41And I just remember being like, damn, I want this guy on our team.
04:45And I think he had this one massive hit in the Eagles game.
04:48And I was – I think I'm high on him.
04:51I'm high on him based on what I've seen with the Dolphins and then the first game.
04:55And then I also wanted to tell you that really quickly that the defense – everyone was like, the defense
05:02has to, you know, step up a little bit for us to be competitive.
05:06But at the same time, the offense cannot, like, you know, get worse, right?
05:12And there is a chance with the new offensive coordinator that we do get worse, potentially.
05:20And Cliff Kingsbury, I know he got some criticism from a tight end or something.
05:25There was some, like, weird comment.
05:27I think Bates said, like, oh, now we'll have, like, a real NFL offense or something like this.
05:30But he – I mean, his no-huddle, fast-paced scheme, I just can't help but wonder if Kingsbury was
05:37offensive coordinator in this game, that we would have won it.
05:40The offense was really, really out of the game.
05:42Now, that's an interesting thing.
05:45Because I actually think Cliff did a pretty good job here for two years and did a pretty decent job
05:52last year, considering he had nothing on the field in most of those games.
05:55So, Sage, going back to yourself, just – you're obviously not a big-time listener, which is fine, and I
06:02appreciate that you called.
06:03I'm probably – I can't imagine there are many people in the fan base or even in the media base
06:10that are less enthusiastic than I am about the Terry is an elite receiver conversation.
06:18Because I think I've been saying for pretty much the last four or five seasons, you've got to watch the
06:24rest of the league, people.
06:26He's not an elite receiver.
06:27He's a good receiver, but he's not Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson or JSN or Amon Ross St. Brown or
06:34Chris Alave at this point, who had 10 catches for 182 yards.
06:38Terry's never had a day like that.
06:40And I say that, and I know that fans get upset, and I get it from them all the time.
06:47They think I'm a Terry hater, you know, that label, which I'm not.
06:51I think Terry is a good receiver.
06:54I think he's a top 15-ish receiver.
06:57I think he's a true number one.
06:59He's just not at the level of some of the truly elite receivers in the game.
07:06It's not even close.
07:06Listen, here's the concern.
07:08The concern is, is Terry now on the backside of his career at 30, going to be 31 years old,
07:17right?
07:18So you do have to wonder about that.
07:20They told you all you needed to know about what they thought of Terry last summer during the contract negotiations,
07:28when they would not pay him like he was or commit to him like he was an elite receiver,
07:33because they didn't believe he was an elite receiver.
07:35With that said, they didn't want him to go anywhere, because they have him right now as their number one
07:41receiver.
07:42And by the way, Terry drew a lot of the coverage Sunday, which ended up helping Stefan Diggs and Antonio
07:49Williams down the stretch.
07:51But yeah, I hear what you're saying.
07:54I don't know if he'll be here next year or not.
07:56The next 16 games are going to determine that.
07:59Obviously, there's no cost in moving on from him with the way they structured the contract.
08:04But Terry is a pro, and he can go out and earn it.
08:08I have a feeling he'll have a good season.
08:09I said that before the season started.
08:11I know the targets were low.
08:13I know there were two catches for 14 yards.
08:16But I still think Terry will end up having a good season this year.

08:54Okay, so I'm definitely buying the defense as in I think they'll have us in every game just based on

09:06I'm selling the wide receiver concepts that I'm seeing.
09:10I just can't buy that Terry's been doubled so he just couldn't get open the entire game.
09:17I just don't roll with that.
09:20So, I feel as though there could be some other route concepts that could be used to get some of
09:25these guys a lot more open.
09:27Because I see it across the league.
09:29To me, it's never an excuse just to say a guy's being doubled.
09:33And that's pretty much all I have.
09:35Yeah, well, I don't know that he was doubled.
09:36They were certainly shading more than occasionally.
09:39They were bracketing as the term is used.
09:43And, yeah, if you watch the All-22, which I have, there's not a lot of places to go for
09:51Jaden, even when he had time, which he had time a lot of the game.
09:56Now, it started to break free a little bit more in the late third quarter and obviously in the fourth
10:03quarter when people were open.
10:05And he was letting it fly and Diggs and Antonio Williams in particular were the guys getting open.
10:10But in terms of, like, the concepts, I've got to see more games to really understand and know what Blau's
10:18going to do conceptually with the pass offense.
10:20There is no doubt that there are coordinators over all of our time watching football that even with lesser receivers
10:28and lesser quarterbacks can scheme people open.
10:32We have seen that done over and over.
10:34I'm not sure there was anybody better than Norv Turner at scheming people open.
10:39And certainly Ben Johnson does it.
10:42Kyle Shanahan does it.
10:44So you do want to see, even against the outstanding defensive teams like Philly likely will be, you still want
10:52to see less than six punts per game.
10:57You know, you want to stay on the field by completing some passes when you have to to move the
11:03sticks.

13:43So, I'm not saying I wouldn't do it.
13:47I'm just saying that the cost is a consideration.
13:50And, by the way, you know, pulling the trigger on another corner in season, it obviously didn't
13:57work out well for Adam Peters the first time.
14:00This is a slightly different situation.
14:02It's a player who they claim is hurt right now, just so you know.
14:06He's not technically in a holdout.
14:07He's technically injured.
14:09But there is the belief that this is sort of a silent holdout until they can get something
14:15worked out via trade or he ends up playing one way or the other.
14:20He did not play against the Falcons in the opener.
14:23So.
14:25Figure you take a second round or you pick a cornerback next year or whatever, and he balls
14:31out, right?
14:31You're going to end up in the same situation as you are right now if you were to sign
14:35Porter.
14:35So, you're going to send the money out of the way or the prime cornerback.
