00:06I said – well, actually, I'll give you a little bit of color on that, but no is the short
00:10answer.
00:13I said, look, we've been given the White House and both houses of Congress.
00:16That is very rare.
00:17We can't blow it.
00:19And I told him, I said, I want to roll up my sleeves and do everything I can to lead
00:26the fight for us to deliver on our promises,
00:28for us not to miss this window of opportunity.
00:31And that's exactly what I did.
00:32Now, you asked if I want a job.
00:34I did not.
00:36Did he offer you one?
00:38So he brought up and offered me Homeland Security, and I said, no, I didn't want that.
00:47I made what I would characterize as a half-hearted run at AG.
00:52Right.
00:52And what I said at the time is I said, Mr. President, look, I recognize that I was late on
00:59the train.
01:00And I said – and there were other folks that were on much before I was.
01:04And I said, frankly, if Sessions or Giuliani or Christie wants to be AG, you ought to give it to
01:10them.
01:11But if you wanted to talk about AG, I'd be willing to have that conversation.
01:15Well, if you'd been AG instead of Sessions, would you have accused yourself?
01:20No, of course not.
01:20No, and history would have been very different.
01:24I mean, the Russia collusion hoax, the Mueller investigation never would have happened.
01:28It would have been very different.
01:30I will say – look, Jeff Sessions is a friend of mine.
01:32He was at Trump Tower while I was there.
01:34Right.
01:36And it was a half-hearted run because I really enjoy where I am in the Senate.
01:40I think you can have a big impact there.
01:43And he obviously went with Sessions, and that was fine.
01:48I will say in that conversation, Trump probably spent 30, 40 minutes trying to convince me to go to the
01:57court.
01:58Supreme Court.
01:59Yeah.
02:00Well, when I saw you with him last year, he said the same thing.
02:04He's dying for you to go to the Supreme Court.
02:06And I'm not going to do that.
