00:08if you're looking for a quick and easy valentine's day gift to make or a little party favor i'm
00:14going to show you how to crochet this cute little 2d heart and um how to fold a little envelope
00:21to
00:21put it inside of like so all you'll need is some medium weight yarn a four millimeter hook to go
00:33with your yarn scissors and some origami paper to fold for the envelope i'm using a standard um
00:44sheet of origami paper that's six by six inches and i have cut it into quarters
00:54so it's now three by three inches and it's the perfect size for this little heart
01:00let's go ahead and get started
01:07to begin you are going to start with a magic ring in the magic ring you'll insert a slip knot
01:17and now you'll put in all of these following stitches chain two three triple crochets
01:26that's one triple crochet two triple crochets
01:37and three triple crochets
01:44then three double crochets one double crochet two double crochets
01:52and three double crochets a triple crochet
02:02and now let's repeat the other side three double crochets one double crochet here's the second one
02:10and here's the third one
02:14then three triple crochets
02:19one
02:25two
02:29and three
02:35then you're going to chain two and slip stitch inside the ring
02:41now here's the magic part you've got so many stitches all you need to do is pull your ring closed
02:49and you've got this cute little heart shape what you'll do at this point is fasten off with a
02:59decently long tail that you can use to tie a knot behind the back
03:06i just like to pull my yarn tails into um the back of the heart
03:15and remember to pull your yarn end really tight that starting yarn end needs to be tight
03:21for the circle to close
03:31once you pull it to the back you can go ahead and tie it with a really tight knot
03:45that's that for our cute little heart as you can see that was very quick and easy to make
03:52you can make a ton of these for valentine's day as little party favors as a pleaks to put on
03:58your
03:58dolls or projects um or as key chains and hair clips and more
04:07after you make your little heart it's time to fold a little envelope for it
04:12for the envelope i'm using a three by three inch square
04:19and um just for reference here it's about yay big compared to my heart
04:28all right so let's get started first you're going to fold the um the bottom corner of the piece up
04:38like so but not all the way you're just going to make sure it's close to the top edge
04:49then you're going to open it and we're going to fold the bottom point right up to the fold that
04:56we made
04:59then fold that up again so you should have this we're going to fold the two corners in
05:06and here's where you just kind of eyeball it see how big you want your envelope to look
05:13so here's one corner and then the other corner i'm going to pull in as well
05:24and try to keep it a little symmetrical so that both ends look um about the same
05:32and all you have to do at the end is just tuck one of the corners into the other
05:41so inside the open flap here you're just tucking it in
05:49and that's that
05:56you now have a cute little pocket to put your heart inside of and you can give this little pocket
06:04hug as
06:05a um class valentine they are very quick and easy to make both the envelope and the heart
