00:13It's a great honor.
00:15It's an award that's given to you by your peers
00:17and not something that you run for,
00:20it's something that's given to you.
00:21So it has all the more value.
00:23CIGRE has been very important in my career.
00:26It's enabled me to meet people from all across the industry.
00:31And when I mean the industry,
00:32it's utilities, manufacturers, engineering.
00:35It's a unique place where the whole industry is gathered together.
00:39It's also a place where you can share experience,
00:42have exposure to different worlds,
00:45to different concerns, to different experiences.
00:48And this, in fact, is very useful,
00:50especially when you're a leader,
00:52in order to drive innovation,
00:54to show you what the future directions are
00:57and also to check if you're going the right way.
01:00So I really enjoy the time I've been in CIGRE.
01:03I still hope to be quite a long time
01:04and to continue to meet people
01:06and to be able to shake hands
01:08as I walk through the corridors here,
01:09this very bustling tower.
01:11So it was really a fantastic experience.
01:22Well, I think young professionals join CIGRE
01:25because they want to learn,
01:26they want to meet new people
01:28and to become part of something bigger
01:30than their day-to-day job.
01:32It may sound like cliche,
01:34but I think the biggest value that CIGRE has
01:36is the people we meet and connect.
01:38And NGN makes it so much easier
01:40and accessible for young professionals
01:41because it creates a space for everyone
01:44to stay connected
01:45and also to contribute,
01:47to publish papers,
01:48to present and to lead dialogues and discussions.
01:52And I also think that CIGRE
01:54can inspire young professionals
01:55to find their purpose
01:56because when you look at the amount of job
01:59that people put into this organization
02:01to try to solve some of the biggest challenges
02:03in power systems,
02:04then you start asking yourself,
02:06well, how can I contribute?
02:08And to keep this motivation alive,
02:10I think we should continue building a community
02:13where everyone feels included
02:14and at the same time to create a platform
02:17for young professionals
02:18where they can express their curiosity,
02:21where they can ask questions
02:22and find mentors who will guide them
02:24into their professional development.
02:37I believe that one of the main goals
02:43that you should strive for
02:45is to be able to evolve
02:46into different ways
02:48or different yourselves.
02:51The power industry is changing.
02:54For example, with AI,
02:56now everything moves so quickly.
02:58And I believe in the years to come,
03:00there will be a need for those professionals
03:03that are able to adapt themselves
03:04into any situation
03:05to learn quickly
03:07to be able to collaborate
03:08with our professionals.
03:09Those are the kind of professionals
03:11that will actually get the answers
03:14and the solutions
03:14to all the challenges
03:16that we have in the power industry.
03:18One example is the One Grid initiatives
03:21where people in the distribution
03:23and transmission
03:24are able to collaborate
03:26and get out of their comfort zone
03:27and able to talk with other professionals.
03:39First of all, thank you to Seekre.
03:42It's the event
03:43where the whole industry comes together
03:44and this is exactly what we need,
03:46what our solution needs.
03:47We were preparing our solution,
03:50our image solution, for years.
03:52Compact towers, advanced conductors
03:54and all the engineering around it.
03:56Here in Paris,
03:57we have the opportunity
03:58to speak to TESOs, TESOs,
04:00developers, regulators, partners
04:03and we've got remarkable feedback.
04:06Everyone is facing the same challenge.
04:09Maximizing capacity as fast as possible
04:11with the least land use.
04:14When we show our measured results,
04:16lower towers, less steel, less foundation,
04:19we got the conversation moving.
04:22We got opportunities.
04:23Our Grid 2.0 material
04:26is exactly what is unlocking
04:28the grid capacity worldwide.
