00:01What a big game coming up in week two to kick the week off to with Lions and Bills.
00:06I mean, this thing's going to be a doozy, this second week starter here on Thursday night.
00:11Yeah, just an incredible kickoff for week two.
00:14Obviously, the opening of Highmark Stadium for Bills fans.
00:16Sorry if you're one of those fans out there that's getting some seats.
00:19You're not going to see the field, but you can take that up with the Bills organization.
00:22But yeah, it's going to be a fantastic game on Thursday night football.
00:26High total, too, 53.5 points, and it's to be expected.
00:28As I said, we saw the most points since the merger in week one.
00:32This is going to probably kick it off once again with some more points in week two.
00:35But just to go back to week one with the Lions, I mean, this team almost lost to the Saints.
00:40Now, I really like the Saints this year.
00:41I think they can win the NFC South.
00:43I like what they saw from them last year, and I think that they looked really good going into week
00:47one.
00:47Looked pretty pedestrian first half, but they bounced back against the Lions in the second half
00:52and arguably could have won that football game.
00:55So the Lions have a lot of questions they need to answer on the defensive side.
00:58Jameer Gibbs looked like Jameer Gibbs, over 150 rushing yards.
01:02Jared Goff looked good as well.
01:03But I think the Bills have a chance to be the best team in the AFC this year.
01:07Now, the Chiefs obviously had their say last night, but Josh Allen and company looked fantastic on Sunday,
01:11finally getting over the hump with the boogeyman and beating the Texans as well,
01:15which is arguably the best defense in football.
01:17So, you know, if J.A. 17 plays like he can in this offense, and if I'm interested in what
01:23the pass catchers are going to do,
01:24because the Lions got absolutely torched by the Saints.
01:28Dan, Chris Olave went crazy, 180 receiving yards.
01:31Juwan Johnson had 50 yards and a touchdown from the tight end position.
01:34And, oh, by the way, this week you've got to deal with D.J. Moore,
01:37who just had, you know, six catches for 100-plus receiving yards with this new Josh Allen connection,
01:42and then Dalton Kincaid, who have over 100 receiving yards as well.
01:45So, you know, no time to think about it too much.
01:48You've got to get out there and you've got to take care of business.
01:51So, fascinating game.
01:52Don't really have any plays that I'm looking at so far.
01:55As I mentioned, D.J. Moore and Dalton Kincaid are probably going to be some prop angles that I'm looking
01:59at in this game.
01:59But I'm interested to see how the Lions can hopefully bounce back from almost falling apart against the Saints in
02:06the second half.
02:06And if we're going to see the Bills maybe put their foot down a little bit,
02:11like show some that they're the big dogs in the AFC after what we saw from the Kansas City Chiefs
02:17last night
02:17and some other teams in the AFC over the weekend.
02:20So, fascinating matchup.
02:21No plays for me so far yet, but it's going to be a great win at Highmark on Thursday.
02:25Boy, I'll tell you, I said maybe the move of the offseason is Joe Brady being elevated to the head
02:30coaching position.
02:31I mean, you know, he had such a great chemistry with Josh Allen,
02:36and it seemed that the ownership group didn't want to mix that up.
02:39They blew out a successful Sean McDermott.
02:42The guy won like 10, 11 ballgames every year.
02:45But how important is that?
02:47And do you see any differences in how cool he was and how calm he was against that Texans defense
02:53where traditionally, as you mentioned, man, he had a lot of trouble with that defense.
02:58I think it's really great when you have a situation.
03:01Obviously, you have one of the best, if not the best quarterback in football.
03:04In this situation, your first game of the regular season, you know, you're kind of shaking a little bit of
03:09the jitters off.
03:10But I thought Allen looked fantastic yesterday.
03:12He looked poised.
03:13He looked in control, made big plays.
03:15Now, he did make that throw at the very end of the game that could have lost it for him.
03:18But the Texans fortunately dropped the ball.
03:20But I think it really helps that you, this offense looked like they had continuity.
03:24You bring in a big play threat like DJ Moore.
03:27And I was really impressed with what I saw offensively and the defensive side of the ball, too.
03:31Looks like they's worked out all their issues from last year.
03:33So I'm expecting a big year from Buffalo.
03:35And they got started with a hot start in week one.
