00:14We at GE Vernova, we have been developing G-Cube as a technology as an answer to the decarbonization
00:21requests and especially the SF6-free solution for our customers, but today it's not only
00:31about decarbonization, we are also looking in our designs to optimize footprint, weight,
00:37LCA, so it means CO2 equivalent, and making sure that we optimize the full solution.
00:45Our customers today, they are getting life tank breakers in CO2O2, gas insulated switchgear
00:53in G-Cube, and all the time we are looking at optimizing the footprint so that we can
00:59come with affordable solutions to our customers.
01:14Resilience in practice means thinking holistically about the life of the asset, thinking about
01:18its resilience from the engineering stage, reducing the time to market during execution, and thinking
01:23about things like standardization, modularization, to make it simpler, more reliable, and with
01:30it a better time to market.
01:32It also means partnerships.
01:33It means working together in order to get those solutions, those great ideas, to the market
01:37and making it a reality.
01:48I think smart grids provide the adaptability and they provide the capability of enabling
01:55a grid.
01:56So what does enabling a grid mean?
01:58It means that one has the capability of managing data flows, operating capabilities that the
02:05grid needs.
02:06It also then provides the flexibility requirements of dealing with the grid.
02:12So all in all, you know, smart grid really provides the broad technical capability of dealing
02:20with a grid that is able to be more reliable, more efficient, and also provides a platform
02:28for future use that our customers need on a daily basis.
02:44The next generation network is a really unique balance where in the next seven to 10 years,
02:51there have been industry studies published that there needs to be a 200% increase in power
02:54systems professionals, and there's so much to learn.
02:57There is old infrastructure, new infrastructure, there's an incorporation of AI and where to
03:03start.
03:03The secret next generation network is a great place to do that.
03:06They have working groups and study committees where even as a young professional coming in
03:10new to the industry, you can work alongside the global leaders and experts and find an easy
03:16path into technical expertise, mentorship, and being able to change the way that the power
03:21system is going to continue to grow to support strong, reliable power around the world.
03:34The national committees have a number of responsibilities that include the promoting the benefits of
03:42CIGRE within the country, also organizing workshops, conferences, meetings, and so on.
03:50Also, they have the responsibility to revise and coordinate all the contributions from the members
04:00through the different meetings or symposium, and the more administrative duty, which is collecting the
04:10fees for the members. But I would highlight among all the responsibility to engage the experts within the country,
04:22creating the ecosystem to share the knowledge among the experts and also attracting new talent to the CIGRE,
04:33which is the most important duty for the national committee.
