00:00Ah, yes, Shine Time, Football Monday.
00:02NFL football is back, baby, not a moment too soon.
00:06The Giants and Jets undefeated.
00:09All is right with the world, unless you live in Nashville, or Green Bay, or Cleveland,
00:13or unless you're one of those make-believe, mythical LA Chargers fans.
00:18We'll get into it all. Shine Time starts right now.
00:21Don't stop. Keep it coming, baby. Don't stop.
00:28This crowd, I'm telling you, man, the parking lot, the parking lot was off the chain, driving in here.
00:34It was packed. I'm talking like four and a half hours before the game.
00:37I get here early now, you know, and I'm thinking it's going to be easy to get in here, and
00:40it wasn't.
00:41And then the stadium was just absolutely electric from beginning to end.
00:45I've been saying it for about a month now. I'm going to do a backflip when I score my first
00:47touchdown,
00:48and I might do it here and there throughout the year, but you won't see it every time.
00:52But, you know, I'm going to make up something else now and try to give the kids something else to
00:57do.
00:58When they closed at 21-14, what was going on in your mind at that point?
01:03Go score.
01:04What was your mindset at that point?
01:05Just go score again. Just go score again.
01:09Did you say anything in the huddle at all or no?
01:11I didn't feel like there was too much that needed to be said.
01:14I think that we were all in the exact same accord.
01:17Just go down and score again.
01:18We've been doing it multiple times throughout the game, so why not just do it again?
01:23How about the New York Football Giants?
01:26John Harbaugh and the New York Football Giants.
01:30No team in the NFL on the first NFL Sunday of the 2026 season
01:35had a more impressive signature win than the Giants.
01:39If you needed to rank, and that's literally my job,
01:42the teams that had the best wins, the Giants.
01:46John Harbaugh and the Giants.
01:48Number one, that they beat the Cowboys, how they beat the Cowboys,
01:53takes this to a fevered pitch.
01:56John Harbaugh's stamp was all over this team.
01:59The Giants were tough.
02:00They were physical.
02:02The offensive line was unbelievable.
02:05Jackson Dart was smart.
02:07He was tough, accurate, athletic.
02:11I loved everything what we saw from the New York Football Giants.
02:15I was so impressed with how they jumped on Dallas early.
02:19I was so impressed how they controlled the clock.
02:22I was so impressed how they dealt with adversity during the course of the game.
02:26There was no moment during the course of this game
02:31where you felt like the New York Football Giants were going to lose.
02:37Think about all the bad football that the Giants fans have had to endure over the last decade or so.
02:42Think about all the times Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys beat the hell out of the New York Football
02:48Giants.
02:49John Harbaugh has changed everything.
02:53This was the most impressive victory of any team in week number one of the NFL season.
03:00We loved the Giants going into the year.
03:02Thought they'd win 9-10 games.
03:04I thought Dallas would go into MetLife Stadium and win.
03:07I'm still very high on the Dallas Cowboys.
03:10In fact, I would make this case.
03:12The game wasn't even about Dallas.
03:15Wasn't anti-Dallas.
03:16Dallas, I still think the Cowboys are going to be a great team.
03:20This was about the Giants.
03:22Look at the numbers here for Jackson Dart.
03:24Just incredible.
03:26Three touchdowns, zero interceptions.
03:2923 of 29.
03:31He was smart in terms of when to get out of bounds, when to run.
03:35He was just absolutely incredible.
03:38The way he was able to move, 54 yards on the ground.
03:41Everything about Jackson Dart behind that, all of a sudden, really strong offensive line.
03:49I give Dart all the credit in the world.
03:51And look, doing it against the Dallas defense, which I thought, still think, is going to be vastly improved.
03:57I mean, Jackson Dart absolutely abused Christian Parker's defense.
04:01Abused Quinn Williams and Caleb Downs, who I thought the Giants should draft.
04:06Let's be honest here.
04:07Rashawn Gary and company, all the newbies on this team.
04:10This was just an incredible performance.
04:13And how about the weapons for Jackson Dart?
04:15Cam Scadaboo ran the ball with authority.
04:19Isaiah likely was absolutely terrific and tremendous.
04:23And we talked about this when the Giants signed him, that John Harbaugh brought him from Baltimore
04:28and absolutely loved him.
04:29And it was very likely that Isaiah was going to make a major impact, especially early on.
04:36How about the tune of eight catches, 78 yards, and a couple of touchdowns?
04:40Malik Neighbors, who was a legitimate game-time decision.
04:44What a performance.
04:45Six catches, 69 yards.
04:47And the fact that we didn't see Jackson Dart throw a pass to Malik Neighbors all last year
04:52because of, obviously, how Brian Dayball handled the quarterback position
04:55and the neighbors gets heard, this was inspiring.
05:00The Giants absolutely manhandled Dallas, controlled the time of possession.
05:05The way they started, the way they finished, I mean, this was absolutely off the charts.
05:11And this was history for Jackson Dart.
05:13And listen, when you're on this list with Fran Tarkington and my guy, the great Phil Simms,
05:19that's pretty remarkable here.
05:21And I want you to take a look at the Giants' upcoming schedule
05:25because this is part of the deal if you're a fan of the New York football Giants.
05:31We talked about the Giants being able to start the season 4-2.
05:36And we had them losing week number one.
05:39Look at that stretch of Tennessee, Arizona, Washington, and New Orleans.
05:44By the way, they get the Rams, who just put Miles Garrett on injured reserve.
05:51Buckle up, Buttercup.
05:52This was, if you're a Giants fan, as majestic as it gets, as powerful as it gets.
05:59The scene before the game, you heard Harbaugh talk about it, the fans,
06:03everything in terms of the ambiance.
06:05The Giants just haven't been bad for a long time.
06:09Man, they've been an eyesore, an unwatchable, unmitigated disaster.
06:15Now you have a real head coach, a real football team that you could be proud of.
06:19I just love watching this team play.
06:22I love watching them work.
06:24And I want to stress this.
06:26I still think the Cowboys are going to be great,
06:30which means the Giants can play with anybody in the NFL.
06:35That's the big takeaway from what transpired yesterday.
06:39It's amazing.
06:40It's inspiring.
06:41Think about all those moments over the last few years
06:44where you just wait for something bad to happen.
06:47Think of the Denver game last year, right?
06:50The Giants had it.
06:52Even when Dallas would score or do something in the second half
06:55or make it a one-score game,
06:57you just felt as if at the end of the day,
07:00this was going to be an absolutely terrific
07:03and tremendous victory for the New York football Giants.
07:07This was absolutely awesome.
07:09And let me tell you something.
07:11If you're a Giants fan,
07:12it is officially a harbinger of things to come.
07:16Time right now for Monday Musings.
07:27As predicted here on Shine Time,
07:29the New York Jets also started off their season 1-0.
07:34And returning quarterback Geno Smith is not stopping there.
07:37We should have the mindset that there is no ceilings,
07:39and we've got to continue to get better every single day.
07:43So the Giants are 1-0.
07:45The Jets are 1-0.
07:46That hasn't happened since 2009,
07:50which was a successful fall for another New York team.
07:54And you take a look at the Jets
07:56and what they were able to do and what transpired.
07:59Let me tell you something.
08:00This was an ass-kicking.
08:01What the New York Jets were able to do
08:04when we said this was going to be a must-win game
08:06and a should-win game,
08:07I could not get enough of what a monster victory
08:11this was for the Jets.
08:13They absolutely pounced when you take a look
08:16at what transpired going up against Robert Sala's team.
08:19This was a game where Aaron Glenn had to prove
08:23that he could coach.
08:25This was a game where you couldn't lose
08:28on the road against Robert Sala,
08:30who was wrought out of New York.
08:32And Glenn obviously replaced him,
08:34and last year was a disaster.
08:35The Jets were up at one point by 14 points.
08:39The Jets, never once last year,
08:42led by 14 points.
08:44Honestly, the toughness was unbelievable.
08:47The offensive line play was outstanding.
08:50Both running backs were strong.
08:52Geno Smith was great.
08:53Garrett Wilson was great.
08:55I thought Aaron Glenn coached a terrific game.
08:58The defense was fantastic.
09:01And I loved everything about this victory.
09:04How they won, that they won,
09:06who was on the opposition sideline.
09:08And let me tell you something.
09:10The Jets are going to win this week.
09:12And this is not an overreaction.
09:14I have been screaming since the schedule was released,
09:18the Jets are going to start the season 2-0.
09:21They're going to beat Tennessee.
09:22They're going to beat the Green Bay Packers.
09:24That's my field.
09:25That's my belief.
09:26That's what's going to transpire.
09:28And I think if you watch Green Bay yesterday,
09:31they've got a lot of issues.
09:33We've gone through the Jets' schedule.
09:35I think they're going to win eight or nine games this year.
09:39That's the expectation.
09:40After Darren Mugee, the general manager,
09:42put together the roster that he did,
09:44it's all incumbent upon Aaron Glenn.
09:47How about Frank Reich called the plays?
09:49Did an excellent job in terms of the mix
09:51with the run and the pass.
09:52How about that run?
09:54Kenyon Sadiq, the tight ends.
09:56On an end around, Kenyon Sadiq, certified freak,
10:00seven days a week, especially on an NFL Sunday.
10:03Man, it's not in the Constitution
10:06that the Jets have to be a bad football team.
10:09Loved every single second of what we saw
10:12for the New York Jets and Aaron Glenn
10:13going up against the Tennessee Titans.
10:15I could not get enough.
10:17Absolutely sensational performance by gangrene.
10:22It's not just one game.
10:23It's the starts of something big.
10:26Elsewhere in the AFC East,
10:28Josh Allen took his bills down to Houston,
10:30a place where he was sacked eight times
10:32when they played last season,
10:33and they pulled out a huge win.
10:36We do like Reliant Stadium.
10:38Woo-hoo!
10:39Well, that was going to be the first question.
10:40What's it feel like?
10:41I mean, you've had some struggles, sir, as you know.
10:43What's it feel like you've come out of there with that one?
10:45Ah, it feels good.
10:46It feels good to start the season off right.
10:49Obviously, Coach Joe getting his first win
10:51as an NFL head coach takes a lot of time,
10:54a lot of effort to get into a position
10:55to be able to do that.
10:56I'm really happy for him.
10:57Called a heck of a game.
10:59Looking down at these stats, man,
11:01our guys made some great plays.
11:03So, yeah.
11:05It's official.
11:06Superman no longer has a kryptonite.
11:09Look at what Josh Allen had done in the past in Houston,
11:12and take a look at what transpired in the ballgame yesterday.
11:17Four total touchdowns.
11:1936-31 win.
11:21What Josh Allen was able to do
11:23was absolutely positively off the charts.
11:26And a sign from the football gods
11:30that the Buffalo Bills are going to be different
11:33and the Buffalo Bills are going to win the Super Bowl.
11:35Joe Brady was awesome.
11:38And I love the fact that Josh Allen
11:40was so dominant and so superb
11:43in this house of horrors previously,
11:45and he was absolutely sensational running the ball.
11:50Sensational.
11:50With that 21-yard run for a touchdown.
11:53Two rushing touchdowns,
11:54two passing touchdowns,
11:55and that pulsating go-ahead touchdown
11:58when they were down 31-30,
12:00he capped a 96-yard drive
12:02by ripping a Nolan Ryan fastball,
12:06a heater,
12:07to Joshua Palmer in the back of the end zone
12:10on a third and 11.
12:11That is Superman,
12:13who no longer has a kryptonite.
12:16Unreal.
12:17And for those on the Internet
12:19trying to tell me
12:21that the Bills were lucky
12:24because on the literal play before,
12:27you saw Lassiter,
12:29the corner for the Texans,
12:30drop what should have been
12:32surefire interception.
12:34I want to be clear about something.
12:36Yes.
12:37And it's about damn time.
12:39Just like in 1996,
12:41the Yankees were lucky
12:42when Jeffrey Mayer interfered
12:44with Tony Tarasco
12:46on a Derek Jeter home run.
12:47Just like the Patriots
12:49were lucky in the tuck rule game.
12:50It's not about luck.
12:52It's what do you do with luck.
12:54And when Josh Allen
12:56gives you four touchdowns
12:58in a game against
12:59the best defense in the NFL,
13:01most points the Texans
13:02have allowed since 2023,
13:04that's not luck.
13:06That's an ass-kicking.
13:08And even the defense,
13:09I mean, think about
13:10Sean McDermott in the past.
13:12Let's be honest here.
13:13This team at the end
13:14of the day did not make place.
13:17You know, the Texans' offense,
13:18David Montgomery and company,
13:20they poured on the points.
13:22What Greg Russo did at the end,
13:24that shows this is a different team.
13:27Different team, different mentality,
13:29different expectations.
13:30I can't stress enough
13:32just how fired up I am.
13:34And if you're a Bills fan,
13:35you're jumping through a table today.
13:37That was absolutely awesome.
13:39That they won in Houston,
13:40how they won in Houston,
13:41it just feels different here
13:44if you're a fan of the Buffalo Bills.
13:46When you join my Sirius XM radio show,
13:48Lamar Jackson warned us
13:49about the Ravens' offense
13:51after they beat down the Colts
13:53and Indy had to give a shout-out
13:54to the man at the helm,
13:55Declan Doyle.
13:58What do you think about the Ravens' offense?
13:58Same thing what I was in the preseason
14:00when Joe and Snoop was in.
14:01You know, same thing,
14:02guys getting open,
14:04timing aspect with the offense,
14:06guys flying around,
14:07receivers doing a great job,
14:09offensive line playing a great game,
14:10you know,
14:10made my job a lot easier.
14:12And Declan, shout-out to Declan,
14:13because he was dialing that up.
14:15Lamar Jackson wasn't kidding
14:17when he said defense is not
14:18going to be able to game plan
14:19for what the Baltimore Ravens
14:22are going to be able to do on offense.
14:23Lamar Jackson rocked steady.
14:25He was dominant.
14:26The stats, unbelievable.
14:28It was like pitch and catch
14:30in the backyard.
14:31This was unbelievable.
14:33Look how flawless this is.
14:34He threw for 324 yards.
14:37Lamar Jackson, absolutely incredible.
14:4017 of 25 passing,
14:42distributed the ball brilliantly.
14:44He looked healthy,
14:46looked spry,
14:47and obviously had some monster help
14:49from the monster that is
14:51Derrick Henry running the football.
14:5324 carries, 144 yards,
14:56and 3 touchdowns.
14:57What a debut for Jesse Minter
15:00as the great new head coach
15:01of the Baltimore Ravens.
15:03We love that hire.
15:04What a debut for the aforementioned
15:06Declan Doyle,
15:07the new play caller
15:08for the Baltimore Ravens.
15:10And with Lamar Jackson healthy,
15:12and I talked to him on my
15:13SiriusXM radio show
15:14a couple of weeks ago,
15:15he's healthy,
15:16he's in the right frame of mind,
15:18he loves the new coaching staff,
15:21sky's the limit here for Baltimore.
15:23And look,
15:23I had a great Sunday,
15:26as you know,
15:27picking the games against the spread.
15:29This is one I got wrong.
15:30I had Baltimore winning.
15:32I thought the Indianapolis Colts
15:33would hang.
15:34They couldn't hang
15:35in any way, shape, or form.
15:38So to me,
15:39this was as signature performance
15:41on offense as any.
15:43Not just Lamar,
15:44it was the balance.
15:45Now,
15:46you saw a couple of injuries
15:47at the receiver position
15:48for Baltimore.
15:50Going to be interested to see
15:51how they can adjust
15:52moving forward.
15:53Obviously,
15:54Flowers got hurt,
15:55and Kobe Lane got hurt.
15:56We'll see what that means
15:57to Baltimore,
15:58big picture.
15:59But as long as Lamar
16:01is Lamar,
16:02and you have Derrick Henry
16:03running his way
16:04into the Hall of Fame,
16:05and Jackson said on my show
16:07on SiriusXM,
16:08he said,
16:09Adam,
16:09do me a favor.
16:09Mr. Adam,
16:10as he calls me,
16:11don't tell anyone,
16:12but Derrick Henry's going to rush
16:13for 2,000 yards this year.
16:15We'll keep it our little secret,
16:17Lamar Jackson.
16:18I think that the Ravens offense
16:20and the way they played,
16:22as great as Harbaugh is
16:24for the Giants,
16:25not having Harbaugh
16:27and this new coaching staff
16:28needed for the Baltimore Ravens.
16:31They needed a change
16:33that was inspiring
16:34for Lamar,
16:35Derrick Henry,
16:36and Baltimore.
16:38Elsewhere in the AFC North,
16:39the Bengals took care of business
16:41at home against the
16:41Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
16:42Here's Joe Burrow
16:43after the game.
16:45Yeah,
16:46it was a great win.
16:47You know,
16:47a lot of guys stepped up
16:48and made big-time plays.
16:50Obviously got some things
16:51to fix,
16:51just like everybody does
16:52in week one,
16:52but it's great to come out
16:53with a win.
16:54What were your biggest
16:55takeaways, Joe,
16:56of the defense
16:56and how it allowed you
16:58to play complementary football?
16:59Yeah,
17:00I mean,
17:00four turnovers,
17:00you're going to win
17:01a lot of football games
17:02if you get four turnovers,
17:03and we got to be able
17:04to capitalize on them
17:06a little bit more.
17:07We had,
17:08I think,
17:09two touchdowns
17:10and two field goals
17:10off of them,
17:11so we got to get
17:12that fixed,
17:13but it was a good one.
17:15Joe Burrow
17:16absolutely nailed it,
17:17and, you know,
17:18historically,
17:19when you look at Joe Burrow
17:20and you look at
17:21the Cincinnati Bengals
17:22and Zach Taylor,
17:24they start slow.
17:25They always get off
17:27to a rough start
17:28and have to claw
17:29their way out,
17:30and there was no excuse,
17:32frankly,
17:32going up against
17:33the Buccaneer team.
17:34had a lot of contractual
17:36issues and drama
17:37during the course
17:38of the offseason.
17:39I honestly thought
17:41that Cincinnati won
17:43was obviously great.
17:45Win is a win.
17:46How they won
17:47a bigger deal.
17:49How about the defense
17:50forcing four turnovers?
17:52Baker Mayfield
17:53couldn't get going,
17:54and then you saw
17:55Sexy Dexy
17:56doing his thing.
17:58The Bengals,
17:59at the end of the day,
18:00were exactly the opposite
18:03in the offseason
18:04or how they normally are
18:05in terms of being
18:06a frugal organization
18:07and in terms of
18:09not paying attention
18:10to the defensive side
18:11of things.
18:11The fact that they
18:12spent the money,
18:14traded the first round
18:15pick for Dexter Lawrence,
18:17brought in players
18:17from winning programs,
18:19Seattle and Kansas City,
18:20this was everything.
18:23And Joe Burrow,
18:25honestly,
18:26didn't really have it
18:27going on.
18:28Jamar Chase
18:28was a total non-factor.
18:31So, the fact that
18:33they won this game,
18:34great.
18:35You have to get off
18:36to a good start
18:36if you're Zach Taylor
18:37in Cincinnati.
18:38How they won this game,
18:40even more important
18:42in terms of the big picture
18:44for the Cincinnati Bengals.
18:46In Pittsburgh,
18:47it was an emotional day
18:48for Steelers new head coach
18:50Mike McCarthy
18:50as he coached his hometown
18:52team for the first time.
18:53That fact was not lost
18:55on his quarterback,
18:56Aaron Rodgers.
18:57Yeah, I've met a lot.
18:59Mike said,
18:59a lot of wins.
19:01But it's always special
19:02when it's the first one
19:03in a place
19:04and extra special
19:05when it's, you know,
19:06the team.
19:07You grew up
19:07in Chironpour
19:08and you grew up
19:09just on the other side
19:10of the river
19:10from the facility.
19:13Parents are still
19:14living in town.
19:15So, super special
19:16to be able to do that.
19:18I was really,
19:20honestly,
19:20looking forward to that
19:21today as much as I have.
19:23Love that from Aaron Rodgers.
19:24And I love our guy
19:25Mike McCarthy
19:26who's Pittsburgh
19:27through and through.
19:28And listen,
19:29I thought this was
19:30an absolutely terrific win.
19:32And when I say terrific,
19:33if I was grading
19:34the Pittsburgh offense,
19:35I would grade him
19:37a C.
19:38Wasn't anything special?
19:40But the way
19:41that Pittsburgh won
19:42and won for Mike McCarthy
19:44in his first game
19:44coaching the Pittsburgh Steelers,
19:46the fact that they won
19:47on defense,
19:48the fact that they won
19:49with T.J. Watt
19:49with a pick six,
19:51first of his career,
19:52the fact that T.J. Watt
19:53was back to being
19:54a superstar
19:55and all over the field.
19:56And you know,
19:57because McCarthy
19:58is an offensive guru,
20:00you know Rodgers
20:01and D.K. Metcalf
20:02and Michael Pittman Jr.
20:03will be more on the same page
20:05as the season moves along.
20:06You know that
20:07the Pittsburgh Steelers
20:08are going to win
20:10more games on offense.
20:12So, look,
20:12I'm not going to sit here
20:13and crown Pittsburgh, right?
20:16Obviously,
20:16I picked him
20:17to make the playoffs.
20:18I think this will be
20:19the year with Mike McCarthy.
20:20They end the long
20:21playoff winning drought.
20:22Haven't won a game
20:23in the playoffs
20:24since 2016
20:25when they beat
20:26Alex Smith
20:27in the Kansas City Chiefs,
20:28which is all sorts of crazy.
20:29But the fact that
20:30they won this kind of game,
20:32I know it's just
20:32Cooper Rush.
20:34Listen,
20:34the fact that he's playing
20:35in an NFL game
20:37week one of the season,
20:39absolutely,
20:39positively insane.
20:41It's crazy.
20:42But I think
20:43the Pittsburgh Steelers
20:44will beat
20:45the New England Patriots
20:46coming up
20:47in week number two.
20:48and I think
20:49the offense
20:49is going to be
20:50even better.
20:51Honestly,
20:52I can do nothing here
20:54but feel great
20:55for my guy
20:55Mike McCarthy
20:56and feel great
20:57for TJ Watts
20:58and the Steelers
20:59on defense.
21:00We talked about
21:01the Ravens offense
21:02earlier.
21:02How about the Bears
21:03offense?
21:04They put up 59 points
21:05and Caleb Williams
21:06says this may be
21:07the worst game
21:08they play all year.
21:09Go clean up.
21:11We got to go be truth.
21:11Obviously,
21:12this is going to be
21:12our kind of
21:16worst game.
21:17I know points
21:18don't necessarily
21:18show that
21:19but execution
21:20and the blocking
21:22and the penalties
21:23all these different things
21:24and so just being able
21:24to be a truther
21:26about who we are
21:27and go watch the film
21:29and I know we won.
21:30Obviously,
21:30the goal each week
21:31is to go 1-0.
21:33That right there
21:34is the post-game quote
21:37of week number one.
21:38The Bears
21:39scored 59 points.
21:42I think Chicago
21:43just scored again
21:43and Caleb Williams
21:45at the end of the day
21:47is upset.
21:48He wanted perfection.
21:50He wanted more.
21:51He wanted Loveland involved.
21:53He didn't like the turnovers.
21:55He didn't like the penalties.
21:56That is Bears football.
21:59That's inspiring
22:00so many people
22:02sleeping on Chicago.
22:03Oh,
22:04it's going to be this team,
22:05that team,
22:05the other team
22:06that wins the North.
22:07No!
22:08It's going to be this team.
22:09It's going to be Chicago
22:11just like last year.
22:12Ben Johnson said
22:13before the season,
22:14we want to be the best
22:15offense on the planet.
22:17Well,
22:17look at these numbers
22:18on the screen.
22:19And by the way,
22:21Caleb Williams is right.
22:24They can do even better
22:25in terms of fundamentals
22:27and cleaning up their play.
22:30And did I mention,
22:30you probably know this
22:31if you have Loveland
22:32on your fantasy team,
22:33Loveland did nothing!
22:35And they scored 59 points.
22:38Man,
22:38if I'm a fan
22:39of the Chicago Bears,
22:40I am all sorts of giddy.
22:42Caleb Williams
22:43is a superstar.
22:44Loved the way
22:45Marungi ran.
22:46Loved the way Swift ran.
22:48Loved how they got
22:49Burton involved.
22:50I thought Ben Johnson
22:51was in his bag
22:52in terms of call and plays.
22:54This was an ass kicking.
22:56This was so much fun
22:58to watch.
22:59That Caleb Williams throw,
23:02where he rolled to his right,
23:04threw across his body,
23:06hit Cole Komet
23:07on the back of the end zone.
23:09Woo!
23:10That was right
23:10out of central casting.
23:12That was unbelievably
23:14dominant and inspiring.
23:16And the fact that
23:17Caleb Williams
23:18isn't even close
23:19to being satisfied,
23:21congrats, Chicago.
23:22You have your
23:23superstar quarterback.
23:25One of the Bears'
23:26division rivals,
23:26the Detroit Lions,
23:27narrowly escaped
23:28the Saints in overtime
23:29after Kellen Moore
23:31opted to go for two.
23:33Yeah, there's 134 left.
23:34That's a really
23:35talented offense.
23:36You have a chance
23:36to go win the football game.
23:37So, I'm going to sit here
23:39and support Kellen Moore,
23:41okay?
23:42I honestly,
23:43at the end of the day,
23:44had no issue
23:46with Kellen Moore
23:47going for the win.
23:48You saw the New Orleans
23:50Saints down 21-0
23:52in this game.
23:53They roared
23:54all the way back.
23:55And I give the Saints
23:56a lot of credit
23:57and Alave was great
23:59and Tyler Shook
24:00was great.
24:01And then the Lions
24:02get the ball
24:03to start overtime
24:04and they had a long
24:05touchdown scoring drive.
24:06Give Jared Goff
24:07and Amon Ross
24:08St. Brown credits.
24:09And then the Saints
24:10get the ball.
24:10They march down the field.
24:12They score
24:13and they go for two.
24:15Detroit has a weak defense.
24:17Detroit couldn't stop them
24:18in the second half
24:19of the game.
24:20Saints also got
24:21absolutely crushed
24:22by a brutal call
24:24during this contest.
24:26So, every team
24:27in the NFC South
24:29lost.
24:30We knew this division
24:32was going to be atrocious.
24:33Every single team
24:35lost.
24:36So, Kellen Moore
24:38trying to go
24:39for the jugular,
24:40no issue in any way,
24:42shape, or form.
24:43Jameer Gibbs, I thought,
24:44was terrific for Detroit.
24:45I thought he did
24:46a hell of a job.
24:47He deserves a lot
24:48a lot of credits.
24:49I thought that, you know,
24:51you look at what he was
24:51able to do in Detroit,
24:53what David Montgomery
24:53was able to do in Houston.
24:55Both guys away from each other.
24:57They were obviously able
24:58to carry the load
25:00and I thought that Gibbs
25:01was absolutely sensational.
25:03But Kellen Moore,
25:05even in a loss to me,
25:07shows you why he's
25:08a terrific head coach
25:09and why I think the Saints
25:11are going to march
25:11into the playoffs.
25:12And I know the Lions
25:14held on and won that game,
25:16even though their schedule
25:18is cake and ridiculously easy,
25:20this is another example
25:22of why I don't think
25:23Detroit is well coached.
25:25They don't have
25:26the requisite defense.
25:27I know they won.
25:29Detroit is not making
25:31the playoffs this season.
25:32So, I gave you the good
25:34from the NFL
25:35in week number one.
25:36Now, I must give you
25:37the bad.
25:38Were the Chargers
25:39as pathetic
25:41as the Green Bay Packers
25:42on Sunday?
25:43I'll tell you next
25:43on Shine Time.
25:46Yeah, I mean,
25:47absolutely.
25:48You just got to be able
25:49to just go out there
25:49and drop your nuts.
25:51Like, look across
25:53the line of scrimmage
25:53and say,
25:53that guy is not going
25:54to beat me.
25:56You know,
25:57you know,
25:58there's games and twists
25:59and picks and raps
26:01and stuff that,
26:03you know,
26:04the defense is always
26:05running those games,
26:05but that's because
26:06we just,
26:07we got behind our rhythm
26:08and we were in those,
26:11we were in those positions,
26:12those second and 10,
26:13second and 12,
26:14you know,
26:15third and long,
26:15those are tough.
26:16Well,
26:17the Packers did not,
26:18quote unquote,
26:19drop their nuts
26:21on Sunday in Minnesota.
26:22The Packers
26:24dropped the ball,
26:25which probably
26:25drove their fans nuts.
26:28The Green Bay Packers
26:29had a double digit lead
26:30in the fourth quarter
26:31and lost by 17 points.
26:33Think about that
26:34for a second.
26:35This was a complete
26:37and utter catastrophe.
26:38I want you to think
26:39about this.
26:40Kyler Murray,
26:41the first quarter
26:42player of this game
26:42was knocked out
26:44on a cheap shot
26:45by the Green Bay Packers
26:46and at the time
26:47it was 9-0.
26:49Carson Wentz
26:50comes in.
26:51Carson Wentz
26:52barely practiced,
26:54didn't even practice
26:54with the first team
26:55during that,
26:56you know,
26:57fake quarterback
26:58competition
26:58with Kyler Murray,
26:59J.J. McCarthy
27:00earlier in training camp
27:02and which was a waste
27:03of everyone's time.
27:04Anyway,
27:04McCarthy was so bad
27:05they made it
27:05to the third string.
27:06So here's Carson Wentz.
27:08It's 9-0.
27:09Then you have Green Bay
27:10up by 12 points,
27:1222-10 in the third quarter.
27:15You see,
27:16Wentz hit T.J.
27:17Hawkinson
27:18to make it 22-17.
27:21Okay.
27:22Ball game.
27:23But don't worry,
27:24Green Bay is going
27:25to put three on the board
27:26and kick a field goal
27:27and it's going to be
27:29an eight-point lead.
27:30But hold on.
27:32Matt LaFleur decides
27:34to take the points
27:37off the board
27:39and run a play
27:40on fourth down.
27:42Vikings were offsides.
27:44It wasn't an automatic
27:45first down.
27:46That's a different topic
27:47for conversation.
27:49Offsides,
27:50take the three
27:51in the bank
27:52off the board,
27:53give it back
27:53and run a play
27:54on fourth down.
27:56Jim Nance
27:57was phenomenal
27:58on this
27:58on the NFL
27:59and CBS.
28:00I was going nuts
28:01watching it
28:02and I defend
28:03Matt LaFleur.
28:04I think he's
28:05a hell of a head coach.
28:06That was asinine,
28:08irresponsible,
28:08and simply put,
28:10can't happen.
28:10That kind of spot
28:11to go up eight,
28:12you have to.
28:13It's not like
28:14a hypothetical.
28:15The points are
28:16on the board.
28:17The field goal
28:17was good.
28:18I don't know
28:19what the hell
28:19he's thinking about.
28:20So they run a play
28:21on fourth down.
28:23Offensive line
28:24gets blown up.
28:25Jordan Love
28:26is tiptoeing
28:27through the tulips
28:28and they can't execute
28:29on fourth down.
28:30So turnover on downs
28:32instead of three points
28:33in the bank.
28:34You see Carson Wentz
28:35in suing drive,
28:37nine plays,
28:3783 yards.
28:38And I know
28:39there were three
28:40different penalties
28:40on that drive,
28:42okay?
28:43One of them
28:44was a terrible call,
28:45roughing the passer.
28:46The other two were legit.
28:48Also, they missed
28:49a face mask
28:49against Justin Jefferson.
28:51You know,
28:51he got his, you know,
28:52helmet just ripped off
28:53and they didn't call that.
28:55That was a complete mess.
28:57Jordan Love
28:57gets the ball back
28:58after that touchdown.
28:59He needed a navigation system,
29:01a compass,
29:02Waze,
29:03whatever the hell it was.
29:04He's running
29:04the wrong way.
29:06Brian Flores
29:07was blitzing
29:0880% of the time.
29:09Offensive line blown up.
29:11Love with a fumble.
29:12Mason on the ensuing
29:14after the turnover
29:14is able to score
29:15the ensuing drive.
29:17Ball game.
29:18The fact that
29:19the Green Bay Packers
29:20lost again,
29:21going back to last year,
29:22they have six straight losses.
29:23The fact that
29:24they blew another game,
29:25the fact that
29:26you couldn't see them
29:28finish the deal
29:29against the Minnesota Vikings
29:31when Kyler Murray
29:33got hurt,
29:34that's a disgrace.
29:36A complete
29:37and utter disgrace.
29:38This was
29:38an atrocious performance
29:40as bad as it gets.
29:42A meltdown
29:43of epic proportion.
29:44And people like to tell me,
29:46oh, Adam,
29:46your Jordan Love take
29:47is just wrong.
29:48Jordan Love
29:49had an interception.
29:50Jordan Love
29:50had a fumble.
29:51Jordan Love
29:52completed 50%
29:53of his passes.
29:54I mean,
29:55this is a problem here.
29:56And I'm going to say it again.
29:59They're going to lose
29:59to the Jets.
30:00And I said
30:01they're going to start
30:02the season 0-2.
30:03They're going to lose
30:03against Minnesota.
30:04They're going to lose
30:05against the Jets.
30:06The Jets right now
30:07are the better football team.
30:08And that's right.
30:09This is not overreaction
30:10Monday on Shine Time.
30:12This is reaction Monday.
30:14This is what we talked about
30:16when the schedule
30:16was released.
30:17I think Packers fans
30:18were not paying attention.
30:20There's no Micah Parsons.
30:21There's no Josh Jacobs.
30:22There's no offensive line.
30:23This Jordan Love
30:25is not that good.
30:27This is a problem.
30:29And if Matt LaFleur,
30:30who I like a lot,
30:31can't coach his way
30:31out of a paper bag,
30:32then hope is officially gone
30:35if you're a Green Bay Packer fan.
30:36I mean,
30:37this one was over.
30:38Percentage-wise,
30:39feel of the game,
30:40ebb and flow,
30:42over.
30:42Flip side for Minnesota.
30:44Thrilled for our guy,
30:44Justin Jefferson.
30:46Two touchdowns.
30:46Had two all of last year.
30:48Doing the gritty.
30:49Soaking it in.
30:50I think the Minnesota Vikings
30:51are going to be a great team
30:52this year.
30:53I have them making the playoffs.
30:54But honestly,
30:56the story is not Minnesota.
30:57It's the Green Bay Packers
30:59messing up in the fashion
31:00they absolutely royally screwed up.
31:03What a complete and utter disaster
31:06for the Green Bay Packers.
31:08Not to be outdone.
31:10The Chargers.
31:12Now,
31:12they didn't blow a lead
31:13against the lowly Arizona Cardinals
31:15because they never
31:17led in the game.
31:18Here's Jim Harbaugh.
31:20Much to get better at.
31:22And,
31:22you know,
31:23it's a start.
31:23It's not the start
31:24that we wanted,
31:26but credit to the Cardinals.
31:30And,
31:31you know,
31:32it'll be about our resolve,
31:34the way we bounce back.
31:38I think the Chargers
31:39should fold the franchise.
31:40That's it.
31:41Just get out of
31:42the football business.
31:42It's just not good
31:44for anyone's mental health.
31:46I think what the Chargers
31:48should do,
31:49right,
31:50take the team headquarters
31:51and just move it
31:53into the Pacific Ocean.
31:55Fade away.
31:57Think about it.
31:58Would anyone know
31:59the difference?
32:00If the league just played
32:02with 31 teams
32:03and the Chargers
32:04were gone,
32:05would anyone even notice?
32:07If the Chargers
32:07had fans,
32:09they'd probably be angry.
32:10The Chargers,
32:12cursed,
32:14clueless.
32:15This is as bad
32:16as it gets.
32:18The Chargers
32:19were favored
32:20by nine and a half points.
32:23Everyone
32:24and their mother
32:25had the Chargers.
32:26I'm EI at Jacksonville.
32:27Everyone and their mother
32:29had the Chargers
32:30in Survivor Pool.
32:31The Arizona Cardinals,
32:33the over-under on wins
32:35was three and a half.
32:36I took the under.
32:38Quick quiz.
32:39Other than Buda Baker,
32:41name a player on defense
32:43for the Arizona Cardinals.
32:45Just one.
32:46One other player!
32:48And the Chargers
32:50couldn't do anything.
32:51I love Justin Herbert.
32:52I defend Justin Herbert.
32:53Justin Herbert was terrible.
32:55His line was terrible.
32:56The plague calling
32:57with Mike McDaniel,
32:58terrible.
33:00Jacoby Bursette
33:01was the better quarterback
33:02in this game
33:03and it wasn't even close.
33:05Bursette was great.
33:06Trey McBride was great.
33:07Jeremiah Love was great.
33:09How about at the end
33:10of the game?
33:12Fourth quarter,
33:13Chargers had a punt blocked.
33:14You saw what transpired
33:16with Herberts getting picked.
33:17They got stopped
33:18on fourth down.
33:20They got punked
33:21in their own stadium.
33:23Mike LaFleur wins
33:24his first game
33:26as a head coach.
33:28The Cardinals
33:28didn't even have
33:29Jeremiah Love
33:30after the first preseason game.
33:31He was coming off
33:32that high ankle sprain.
33:33I mean,
33:33this was an embarrassment.
33:35The line was terrible.
33:36Herbert was terrible.
33:37You know,
33:38we talked about
33:38why Herbert was going
33:39to have this unbelievable year.
33:41The only one
33:41who came to play
33:42that was part of that circle
33:43of, you know,
33:44new offensive coordinator,
33:46new left tackle.
33:47Slater was back
33:48after being out
33:49for all the last year.
33:50Obviously,
33:51new fiance.
33:52Madison Beer
33:52was the only one
33:53who showed up yesterday.
33:54CBS showed her
33:55after the touchdown
33:57Herbert to McConkie.
33:59She was in
34:00midseason form.
34:01The Chargers,
34:03this was gutless puke.
34:04This was a disgrace.
34:05The schedule
34:06is impossible
34:07for the Chargers
34:09coming up.
34:09I'm the idiot.
34:11I'm the moron.
34:12I picked these guys
34:13to win the division
34:14this year.
34:15This was,
34:16to me,
34:17the single worst loss
34:19of any team
34:20in week number one.
34:21Wasn't even close.
34:23If you can't beat
34:24the Arizona Cardinals
34:26at home
34:28in week number one
34:29of the season,
34:30really,
34:31what the hell
34:32are we doing here?
34:33And I've got to
34:34start choosing
34:34my words better
34:35when it comes
34:36to Justin Herbert,
34:37right?
34:38I mean,
34:39I keep saying
34:39he's the quarterback
34:40lab guy,
34:41and, you know,
34:42I believe that he's got
34:43all the talent
34:44in the world.
34:44This was terrible.
34:46Absolutely terrible.
34:47He had no feel.
34:49He had no presence.
34:50He had no clue.
34:51This was supposed
34:52to be automatic
34:53for Herbert
34:54going up against
34:55the Arizona Cardinals.
34:56What a disgrace
34:58from the L.A. Chargers.
34:59Does it get worse?
35:01Maybe.
35:02We saw the Cleveland
35:03Browns in the NFL.
35:04They lost 34-10
35:05in Jacksonville.
35:06They look so bad
35:07that Todd Munkin
35:09is already answering
35:10questions about
35:11the Sean Watson status
35:12as QB1.
35:14I'm sure as hell
35:14I'm not firing me.
35:16I'm not firing our staff.
35:17I'm not giving it
35:18to all of our players.
35:19So he happens
35:19to be one of 53,
35:22and however many
35:23practice squad guys
35:24we got,
35:24and our staff,
35:25he's one of that.
35:26So we'll evaluate
35:27everything.
35:30All right, man.
35:31This is like rearranging
35:32the deck chairs
35:34on the Titanic here.
35:35So, spoiler alert
35:36how this is going to go.
35:38You're going to see
35:39Watson play,
35:40I firmly believe,
35:41coming up this week
35:42because the Browns
35:43are on the road.
35:44You know who they play?
35:46Baker Mayfield
35:46and the Tampa Bay
35:48Buccaneers.
35:48You think Baker's
35:49going to want to beat
35:50the Cleveland Browns?
35:52Just throwing that
35:52out there.
35:53Then week three,
35:54they're at home,
35:54and maybe then
35:55they'll go to
35:56Shador Sanders.
35:57What did you think
35:58was going to happen
35:59with Deshaun Watson?
36:01By the way,
36:02the Jacksonville Jaguars
36:03smoked Cleveland.
36:04The Jags' defense
36:05was absolutely terrific,
36:07absolutely tremendous.
36:09Trevor Lawrence
36:10threw for four touchdowns
36:11in this game,
36:12and listen,
36:13Todd Munkin,
36:13I kind of feel bad
36:14for him, right?
36:15I mean, clearly,
36:16they made him start
36:17Deshaun Watson.
36:18I don't think he wanted to,
36:20and he says the loss
36:21is not just on
36:22Deshaun Watson.
36:24Perhaps.
36:25But that's where
36:26it starts.
36:27The fact that they
36:28roll out Deshaun Watson,
36:30who just sucks
36:31the life out of this team
36:32and out of this organization,
36:34and especially out of
36:35this long-suffering fan base,
36:37that is just brutal
36:38for the fans
36:39of the Cleveland Browns.
36:41There are some bad losses
36:42in the NFL,
36:43but college football
36:44may have featured
36:45some even worse losses.
36:47Did the Oregon Ducks
36:48have the worst loss
36:50in college of the pros
36:51of this young football season?
36:52Ohio State may even
36:54have a case,
36:54next on Shine Time.
36:56I want to come in here
36:58after a loss at home
37:00to Ohio State again
37:01and have some sort of
37:04bad,
37:04y'all telling me
37:05we're not good,
37:06all this stuff.
37:07I could not let that happen.
37:09So I think that was
37:10going through the back
37:11of my mind.
37:11Let's not let that happen.
37:13Man, I'm so happy
37:15for Arch,
37:15and we picked Texas
37:16to win this game.
37:18Never a doubt, right?
37:19Listen,
37:20halftime,
37:21there was some doubts.
37:22I am thrilled for Arch.
37:24They were down by 20,
37:25entering the fourth quarter.
37:26Arch Manning pitched
37:28the perfect game
37:29in the fourth quarter
37:29of that game,
37:30and I was just so impressed
37:32watching it.
37:33These stats are great,
37:34honestly.
37:36Doesn't even hit home
37:37the story.
37:37It's about fourth quarter
37:39execution,
37:40and what Manning
37:41was able to do,
37:42I thought,
37:43was just off the charts.
37:44He was the best player
37:46on the field
37:46in that fourth quarter.
37:48Ryan Day's team
37:49was not ready
37:50for the way that
37:51Texas responded.
37:53I give Sark
37:54all the credit in the world.
37:56A lot of critics,
37:57a lot of haters,
37:57a lot of the media elite
37:58keep saying,
37:59when is Sark
38:00going to win a big game?
38:01And by the way,
38:01that's been a fair topic
38:02for conversation.
38:03You heard what Arch
38:05had to say
38:05on the heels of last year
38:06and how flat as a pancake
38:09and how awful Texas
38:11looked against Ohio State.
38:12This felt like
38:13a game that they
38:15kind of image-wise
38:16for Arch,
38:17for Sark,
38:18they had to have,
38:19in addition to everything
38:20that's at stake
38:22for Texas as a team
38:23that's thinking about
38:24winning the conference,
38:25making the playoffs,
38:26making a run
38:27to winning a natty this year.
38:29Huge.
38:30Absolutely,
38:31positively huge.
38:32So,
38:33I was not surprised
38:34that Texas won.
38:35I'll be honest.
38:36I'm always honest with you
38:37and honest with the audience.
38:39I was stunned
38:40they came back
38:40in the fashion
38:41that they did.
38:42Usually,
38:42you don't see
38:43an Ohio State team
38:44blow that kind of lead.
38:45They have so much talent.
38:47They're so well coached.
38:48The fact that Texas
38:49and Arch
38:50able to play like that,
38:52everything against the wall,
38:54the fact that they were able
38:55to play their best
38:56when it mattered the most,
38:57man,
38:58that was unbelievable stuff.
39:00Couldn't get enough
39:01of the way Texas played
39:02in that fourth quarter.
39:04Pretty bad loss
39:05for Ohio State,
39:06but was it worse
39:07than Oregon getting punked
39:09in Stillwater
39:10by Oklahoma State?
39:14All right.
39:15You know,
39:16the score was
39:16closer than it really was
39:18because it wasn't close
39:19in a lot of ways.
39:20We got our ass kicked
39:21in a lot of areas.
39:24There are some morons
39:25in the press
39:27who picked Oregon
39:29to win a national title.
39:30There are some jackasses,
39:33some fools,
39:34some clueless idiots
39:36who thought that Oregon
39:38was going to win a natty.
39:40I refuse to mention
39:42any names.
39:43I am not going to get
39:44in the business
39:45of calling anyone else.
39:47I wouldn't do that.
39:49What a disgrace.
39:51I'm an idiot.
39:52Oregon looked terrible.
39:53I'll tell you
39:54what I was wrong.
39:54This, I think,
39:55was the real issue
39:56with why Dan Lanning
39:58was so pissed.
39:58I thought the defense,
40:00which brought back
40:01so many players
40:02who were really good
40:03last year,
40:05I thought they were
40:05going to be really strong.
40:06I thought the continuity,
40:08especially in this chaotic
40:09world of college football,
40:10I thought the continuity
40:12would be king.
40:12Not so much.
40:14They couldn't tackle.
40:14They couldn't make a stop.
40:15They couldn't get off the field.
40:17They allowed 39 points
40:19to Oklahoma State.
40:21They haven't even gotten
40:22into the big teams
40:24they're going to face
40:25in the conference.
40:26Dante Moore.
40:27Listen, I gave him credit
40:28for the self-awareness.
40:29I thought he needed
40:30to go back to college,
40:32play more,
40:32play in more big games,
40:34work out the kings,
40:35get more experience.
40:38Dante Moore would have been
40:39the second pick
40:40in the draft.
40:41He's right now
40:42not even going to be
40:42the second quarterback
40:43selected in the upcoming draft.
40:45He's got a lot of work,
40:47a lot of work
40:48that needs to be done.
40:49This was a bitter disappointment.
40:52And I'm not even talking
40:53about Dan Lanning.
40:54I'm talking about me.
40:55I can't believe I picked Oregon.
40:57Can't believe I picked Oregon.
40:59Hey, we've got to give credit
41:00where credit is due.
41:01Staying in the Big Ten,
41:02but for the good.
41:03Michigan beat 11th ranked
41:04Oklahoma the week
41:05after nearly falling,
41:07and they should have lost
41:08the game to Western Michigan.
41:10You could make the case
41:11this was as surprising a result
41:13as any of the weekend.
41:15And you take a look
41:16at what Michigan was able to do
41:18in the 17-10 victory,
41:19and what Bryce Underwood
41:21was able to do
41:22when the game was on the line,
41:23and the way Mateer
41:24had nothing going on
41:25for Oklahoma
41:26and the way Michigan's
41:27defense played.
41:28I honestly thought
41:30this was ridiculously impressive.
41:32I thought Oklahoma
41:33was going to win.
41:34I thought there was
41:35a real shot
41:35that you were going to see
41:37Underwood get benched.
41:38You saw that winning cam
41:40the week before
41:41after the Western Michigan game.
41:43Didn't even commit to him.
41:45This was impressive.
41:47Hell, baby.
41:48I mean, this was
41:49excellent stuff.
41:51And give Bryce credits.
41:52I mean, all the pressure
41:54was on.
41:54All the eyeballs
41:55were on him.
41:56And to deliver
41:57that kind of dub
41:58against Oklahoma,
41:59that is terrific,
42:01terrific stuff.
42:02But wait, there's more.
42:03You said that Coach Harbaugh
42:05tackled him during walkthrough.
42:07Did you see that happen?
42:08Yeah, we were all
42:09just chilling on the sideline.
42:10It was right before
42:11we were supposed
42:12to start our walkthrough,
42:14and things were just
42:17up in the air.
42:17We didn't know
42:18exactly what was going
42:18to happen.
42:19And me and Coach Harbaugh
42:20just kind of had
42:21some conversations.
42:22He's like, you know what?
42:22I think that once he gets hit
42:25for the first time
42:26and realizes that he's okay,
42:28then he's going to feel confident.
42:29So I think in his mind
42:31that triggered,
42:31oh, maybe I should tackle him
42:33right then and there.
42:34So we were all
42:35just standing there,
42:35and then all of a sudden
42:36Leak goes down on the ground,
42:38and our team's
42:39super protective of him.
42:40So we all turn to look,
42:41and it's Coach Harbaugh's
42:44tackling Leak.
42:44And then he pops up
42:45and he goes,
42:46see, you're all good.
42:47I mean, we started
42:48with the Giants.
42:49We've got to make sure
42:50we end with the Giants.
42:51Is there anything
42:52that screams more
42:52to the new culture
42:53with Big Blue
42:54than that story
42:55from Jackson Dard?
42:57John Harbaugh
42:58to test out Malik Neighbors
43:01cackled him?
43:03Love John Harbaugh.
43:04I can't get enough.
43:05And last but not least,
43:08Broncos, Chiefs,
43:09finish up week one tonight,
43:11Monday Night Football.
43:12We absolutely dominated,
43:15and you know this.
43:16You saw the picks
43:17from Friday's sizzling edition
43:18of Shine Time
43:20and the Shines Lines
43:21and the segment
43:21with Todd Furman.
43:23We won nine games
43:24against the spread on Sunday.
43:26We have the Kansas City
43:27Chiefs tonight at home
43:29favored by two and a half points
43:31against the Denver Broncos.
43:33I can't stress enough
43:34how much I love the Broncos
43:36on the money line.
43:38I think the Denver defense
43:39is top two or three
43:40in the NFL going into the year.
43:42Chiefs starting a rookie
43:44on the blind side
43:46for Patrick Mahomes,
43:47undrafted free agent
43:48at left tackle.
43:50That's not ideal.
43:52I think this Chiefs defense
43:53is weak.
43:54I think not having McDuffie
43:56is a big deal.
43:58I think Bo Nix
43:59and Jalen Waddell
44:00absolutely going to cook.
44:02Waddell has a smashing debut.
44:05I'm not even convinced
44:06that this is going to be
44:08a close game.
44:09This has 24-13 Denver
44:14written all over it.
44:15I love the Broncos
44:17in Arrowhead.
44:18That's a show.
44:19If you missed any portion
44:20of the show,
44:21just do what I do.
44:22Re-watch the show
44:23over and over and over again.
44:24Go to our new YouTube page
44:26at Shine Time.
44:28We'll see you tomorrow
44:28on Shine Time.
44:30I'll be ready
44:31for the show.
