00:00Boy, I'll tell you, many people are surprised on what's going on with Oregon.
00:04Chris, they didn't look good against Boise State in the opener.
00:08And then they play against Oklahoma State here.
00:11And what's going on there with this Ducks program?
00:13I mean, Dan Lanney, that was just a poor eight quarters of football so far out of the gate.
00:19They just don't look like they're locked in for whatever reason.
00:22And this is a team that has a lot of experience back.
00:25It's supposed to have one of the best defensive lines in the country.
00:28They haven't really played like it.
00:30This game was not nearly as close as the final score.
00:33It took basically two pick sixes for Oregon to even be in this game.
00:37They were more than doubled up in the total yardage.
00:40Defensively, I just I don't really know what they're seeing.
00:42It feels like Oregon is only able to make plays when their star terrific athletes make unbelievable plays.
00:51Decorian Moore, the wide receiver, makes the great catch against Boise in the cut up field for 62 yards in
00:57the winning touchdown.
00:58Against Oklahoma State, he drops a touchdown.
01:00So if guys aren't able to make those plays, what is Oregon's offense?
01:04They're not in a rhythm.
01:05They're not in a flow.
01:06It doesn't feel like they know what they're doing.
01:08And they promoted two new coordinators this year because they lost.
01:12Both of them became head coaches.
01:13Instead of going out and hiring somebody new, Dan Lanning stayed inside, promoted Drew Marringer, promoted Chris Hampton.
01:19And it just looks like a sloppy team.
01:21Penalties were a huge problem in the first game.
01:24Mental mistakes, guys being left wide open were a problem in this game.
01:27So I'm not really sure where they go from here.
01:30What's your take on Dante Moore?
01:32You know, every time I watch him play, especially in big games, it seems common.
01:37Chris, what do you think of the player?
01:39You know, he's being talked about as being a first round draft choice potentially in April.
01:45Yeah, he could have been a top five pick if he had come out last year.
01:48But the feeling from NFL people was he needed to be more decisive on what he was doing with the
01:52ball, avoid the really bad plays.
01:55And I think you're seeing in these first two games, especially this last game, the adjustments he needs to make.
02:00Now, the offensive line is not helping, but he's not fully, I think, seeing what you would want him to
02:05see.
02:06And Oklahoma State was able to take advantage of that.
02:09And Oklahoma State's defense saw some keys on Oregon, whether they're running or passing based on the stances.
02:13So Oregon's got a lot to clean up.
