00:00Any and everything that Donald Trump tells him, he wants to be Donald Trump's errand boy.
00:05The funny thing is that Donald Trump already has Natalie.
00:14Alright, you know what we're about. Money out of?
00:16Money in your?
00:18Money in your?
00:20Medicare for?
00:20All!
00:21Y'all, it is such an honor and a privilege to be here as your nominee
00:28for U.S. Senate from the great state of Michigan.
00:37Now, I'm never going to forget the day, sitting in my office in the Guardian Building,
00:42when this corrupt administration froze federal funds.
00:46Y'all remember that?
00:48And I'm sitting trying to figure out how to make sure WIC checks go out next week,
00:52trying to make sure that vaccines go into arms at our federally qualified health centers
00:57don't shut down.
00:59When I get a notification on my phone that after his long career,
01:03our current U.S. Senator, Gary Peters, is not seeking re-election.
01:08And I ask myself, where is the fight for the public's health now?
01:14We kicked off a campaign not three months later.
01:19It took us to small towns and big, rooms of five people, 25 people, 50 people,
01:27having conversations that are at the heart of our democracy.
01:30Who are we?
01:31And who do we want to be?
01:34And everywhere I went, people told me the same thing.
01:36It just shouldn't be this hard.
01:38Shouldn't be this hard to afford a second bag of groceries.
01:42Shouldn't be this hard to pay a rent or afford a home.
01:44Shouldn't be this hard to see a doctor in the richest, most powerful country in the world.
01:49Shouldn't be this hard to pay your taxes and know that that money is going to be spent on you
01:54and your kids and your schools instead of being dropped in the form of a bomb
01:58on somebody else and their kids and their school.
02:01Shouldn't be this hard.
02:02Come on, man.
02:09And we kicked off a campaign to do three simple things.
02:11Y'all already know what it is.
02:12We want to get money out of?
02:14Put money in your?
02:16Pass Medicare for?
02:18And that campaign took us all over the state.
02:20We did 110 different cities, 550 public events.
02:24And for our trouble, we knew we were picking fights with the big corporations.
02:28We knew we were picking fights with the special interests.
02:30And trust me, they came fighting back.
02:33You're not supposed to be able to beat $65,000, $70,000.
02:35I wish it was $75,000, $75,000, $70 million of outside spending.
02:44You're not supposed to be able to beat that.
02:46But we beat that because we built a movement of the people, by the people, and for the people.
02:57And that movement, that movement is what we are going to carry forward over the next 66 days
03:02to take back our democracy from the likes of Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, and their errand boy, Mike Rogers.
03:17Now, you might have noticed that those folks don't seem to know how to keep my name out their mouth.
03:26Abdul.
03:31Habibi, by the time I am done with you, you will know how to say my name.
03:43For his part, Mike Rogers thinks that he's going to get there doing any and everything
03:51that Donald Trump tells him.
03:53He wants to be Donald Trump's errand boy.
03:56The funny thing is that Donald Trump already has Natalie.
04:05We're up against the most corrupt, cowardly candidate for U.S. Senate this state has ever seen.
04:13A guy who has never seen a corporate check he did not want to take and cash into his campaigns.
04:20A corporate demand he did not want to Roger when it's asked.
04:27Never seen one of Donald Trump's shoes he wasn't willing to lick.
04:32I mean, why do you think he moved to Florida?
04:36A McMansion in two yachts?
04:38His yacht had a yacht.
04:43Trading on the relationships that he built while he was serving in Congress.
04:49The man wants to put a data center in your backyard so he can make a gender-affirming video for
04:53himself on AI.
05:01The man...
05:17Now here's the thing about it.
05:18AI videos don't debate for you, Mike.
05:23So I've challenged you to five debates.
05:25You've already dodged two of them.
05:27September 15th, Fox 2 with Roop Raj.
05:29You're welcome to come out and explain for yourself.
05:38But we all know Mike Dodgers is going to be there.
05:42We all know he's too corrupt and cowardly to actually answer for himself.
05:46He didn't want to talk about the war with Iran that Donald Trump got us into and can't seem to
05:50get us out of.
05:51The one that taught...
05:53Literally taught the Iranian regime that they had a choke point on the Strait of Hormuz.
05:57So all of us have to pay more for everything from gas to groceries.
06:02And he doesn't want to talk about the trade war that they just picked and grew with Canada.
06:08Now, we're in Michigan.
06:11We know Canadians here.
06:13Literally the only people in the world who preemptively apologized before they even did anything.
06:21And now you want to pick a vanity trade war that you're asking us to pay for.
06:27I'm sorry.
06:28We are sick and tired of paying for Donald Trump's vanity.
06:31We're sick and tired...
06:34...
06:34...
06:35...
06:37...
06:37...
06:37...
06:37...
06:37We're tired of a conversation about the drapes in the ballroom.
06:40We're tired of a conversation about the reflecting pool.
06:45And the only thing that it's reflecting is that Donald Trump has no business anywhere near American government.
06:55So, Mike, I'd love to have a conversation about the issues at hand.
07:01You can keep playing your corporate bought and paid for ads on TV.
07:05But I'm going to be talking about the fact that people in Michigan can't afford their groceries.
07:09They can't afford their gas.
07:10They can't afford to see a doctor.
07:12They can't afford to send their kids to school.
07:15They wonder why their kid's school looks like it did 50 years ago.
07:18And all of that, that has nothing to do with my name.
07:22That has everything to do with the man whose endorsement you did everything to take.
07:28And now you're trying to run away from him.
07:30But my guy, Donald Trump, he's hard to run away from.
07:34And we're going to spend the next 66 days making sure everybody knows, everybody knows, whose boots you licked to
07:42get here.
07:43...
07:48...
07:48...
07:49...
07:50...
07:54We are going to build a movement to take our government back from the corporations and the special interests who
08:01bought them, sold them for too long.
08:03And we know what we're fighting for.
08:05So when they come for our health care, we won't back down.
08:11When they come for our union rights, we won't back down.
08:15When they come for our public schools, we won't back down.
08:20When they come for our rights, we won't back down.
08:24We won't back down for the next 66 days.
08:26And we won't back down for the next six years when I am your next U.S. senator.
08:41And just so they know how to pronounce it, my friends, my name is Abdurrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, and I'm
08:46looking forward to serving you as your next U.S. senator.
08:49Thank you so much.
09:01Thank you so much.
