00:00Bucs offensive line, another group that really wasn't healthy
00:02or together for hardly any of last season.
00:05On the interior is where you maybe could find ways
00:08to take advantage of the Bucs, I would say.
00:10Ben Bredesen typically deals with power pretty well,
00:13but guys can get on his edge,
00:14and that's where I think Jonathan Allen will try to attack.
00:17Lawrence and Graham Barton have had some interesting battles
00:20even in the past, and Barton's actually played him pretty well,
00:22even though Barton has had his struggles
00:24against different types of defensive tackles, I think.
00:27He's played Lawrence fairly well.
00:29Most of Barton's issues tend to be technical,
00:32and I think that if he does clean that up this season,
00:34which the Bucs are obviously hoping for a big jump from him,
00:37he could maybe hold his own in that matchup,
00:39but it also might be worth noting
00:41that this may be a more reinvigorated Dexter Lawrence
00:44than we've seen some of the last couple times
00:46Graham Barton played him when he was in the throes
00:48of whatever the Giants were going through at that point in time.
00:51So I think those will be interesting matchups
00:53to watch for sure on the interior.
00:55On the edge, I am excited to see.
00:57I just want to see Cassius Howell more
00:59because we see 17 snaps in preseason,
01:02and it was a fascinating 17 snaps that I'm trying not to draw too much from
01:06where he looked like a really good run defender,
01:09and he was very physical and stout and standing up guys
01:12and slipping gaps and making tackles for loss
01:14and standing up pullers,
01:15and it was stuff we didn't see him do in college at all.
01:18But then some of the pass rush stuff looked more robotic.
01:21He looked heavier,
01:21and I wondered if he's packed on some weight to play in run defense
01:26and maybe doesn't have the same movement
01:28that I thought in college was his calling card, really.
01:31So I'm just fascinated.
01:32I want to see more of the player that looked in those 17 snaps
01:35not at all like the one in college in good and bad ways, I think.
01:39So I think there's a lot to be learned about him,
01:41and obviously you mentioned Stewart.
01:43This is a huge year for Miles Murphy
01:45and trying to deliver on expectations kind of late in that rookie contract
01:49and see what kind of player he can be,
01:51and obviously a great test,
01:52one of the best tackle duos in the league to do it against.
