00:20to make sure that young people have got some good work experience as well.
00:24This is a common call across the country.
00:28Young people want those opportunities for work experience, but they're just not there.
00:33And schools can't do that themselves.
00:35They don't have the links with employers to make that happen.
00:38But mayors can really help to deliver that, and some are doing fantastic at the moment.
00:43So new qualifications at 16, sort of tailored to your local area,
00:49but national high quality qualifications, more work experience.
00:54And then after 16, your real clear pathways as well
00:58into technical and vocational education alongside academic.
