00:00Apprenticeships. I grew up and I had an apprenticeship. I'm not degree qualified, so I did an apprenticeship.

00:23We need those skills apprenticeships and we need the training establishments to deliver those apprenticeships, either as the old fashioned
00:30day release or block release schemes that I grew up with when I was 16, 17 year old.
00:35I mean, I did a full time apprenticeship, but we haven't got those anymore. And that's what we need.
00:42Probably not. I think especially things like financial skills don't learn a lot about things like paying your rent and

00:50I think maybe practical skills like, I don't know, cooking.
00:53I would say that a lot of things I've had to learn outside of the school after I've left school,
00:58I feel like I've had to learn completely myself.
01:00Like, for example, CVs, I had to go out my own way to figure out how to do that, how
01:03to apply for jobs, how to apply for college, all this sort of thing.
01:06And even just simple things like paying bills and that, you've had to learn this all by yourself instead of
01:11the school teaching you.
01:12It's a lot more educational based instead of life skills, which I feel like they should have kind of teached
01:19out.
01:20I think they should have a mix of both instead of just, it's either all life skills and no education
01:24or all education, not going to use no life skills.
01:28You need a mix of both.
