02:40of bounds and you kick a field goal and you play for overtime.

02:45I'm just saying that there's factors that go into playing sloppy, missing tackles, throwing
02:50into coverage that if you, the more you play, the more you see, the better you're going
02:56to be in certain situations.
02:57So for example, Seattle, they were sloppy.

03:03They had 10 penalties for 98 yards.
03:05And I'll put my Hoyer cap on when they're, when you're playing bad football and you have
03:09those mistakes.

04:05this offense, when you've seen other quarterbacks run this offense, it is set up through running
04:10the play action pass.
04:11So when you have to run those type of plays, you have to set it up through running the
04:16football because what you're trying to do is influence the linebackers to get up into
04:22the line of scrimmage.
04:23Then you pull the ball out and you throw the intermediate routes.
04:26So have we ever really been a deep ball, deep, deep ball offense with Josh?
04:33You know, it's more of just the way era, just the Randy era was like bomb the ball down
04:38the field, get the ball down the field.

06:36after your quarterback, your first quarterback goes down, you have a backup in, then you start,
06:41you start to see the Patriots dial up a little more pressure.
06:44And so the only thing that bothers me about our offense is would Seattle be able to blitz
06:53and put on pressures if Drake was more of a check with me type guy, right?
06:59So when you're, when you're a check with me type quarterback, you can control everything.
07:07And when we were playing, you know, I'm not saying Drake's Peyton Manning, but I'm saying
07:12when you're playing a quarterback like Drew Brees or Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, and you
07:17have blitzes dialed up, you had to be very careful when and how you show that, or else they
07:25would check into something else that would destroy you.

08:27So, they shouldn't have more yards than you when it comes to playing in the backup.
08:32And there were certain instances where I thought they played better, but then also at the same
08:36time, what we thought coming into the season kind of maybe caught up to them.
08:42You know, the pass rush a little bit.
08:43They had two sacks, but they were backup quarterback sacks.
08:47Hold the ball, hold the ball, try to scramble the guy that's five yards behind the quarterback,
08:52which usually you're out of the picture at that point.
08:55You come back around, you get a sack.
08:57So, you know, there's definitely things that they need to improve on.
09:01And you can't let the go-to guy score a touchdown wide open.
09:06Nobody's covering them.
09:07That's just football 101.
09:09Like, who's the biggest threat to you, to scoring and to beating you?

10:14And then when he started to throw the ball, he started to say, okay, well, maybe we could take a

10:19And maybe we could actually get the ball down the field.
10:21And then once you give the quarterback confidence, then, okay, let's start throwing the ball a little bit.
10:27And they were running the ball, running the ball, running the ball, running the ball.
10:30And on that fourth down play, where I think they scored on fourth down, maybe they're thinking we got to
10:36load up here because they're going to just hand the ball off for one yard.
10:39And they do a little sit route, bang, throw it to them, touchdown.
10:42Yeah, and like when I looked at this game, and this is one of the things I think a lot
10:47of people thought, all right, Seattle was going to mollywhop the Pats.
10:51Like, I think a lot of people are like, Seattle's going to win this game by at least a touchdown
10:56or even 10 points.
10:57This game was a game that you controlled.
10:59This game was, even though you were playing sloppy, and granted, I understand that their quarterback went out, but your
11:04star receiver went out, and your offense completely changed.
11:09I just continue to go back to early in this game on what my expectations were for this offense.
11:16I had been saying, Drake May, second year in Josh McDaniel's offense, Romeo Dobbs, A.J. Brown, offensive line looks
11:25good.
11:25They can run the football.
11:26I'm like, oh, this offense is going to be legit.
11:30And Rob will tell you this.
11:31If a defense holds a team to 13 points, that's a win.
11:38Like, that's got to be the mindset.
11:40Like, you can't ask for better than that.
