00:06a touchdown while Jackson Smith and Jigua had eight receptions for 122 yards and Drake May
00:12had 23 completions on 33 passing attempts for 178 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions.
00:19And he said those interceptions are just due to him not being patient.
00:23I just stopped being patient. I think that's a big thing. We were really good up to the point
00:27where I tried to put, you know, force one down the sideline of Romeo where we were patient
00:30and, you know, dumping it off and trying to move the chains. And, you know, we avoided a lot
00:34of three and outs and that was, you know, something we tried to, you know, just earn more plays
00:37and the explosives would come. So, you know, just stopped being patient and, you know, made
00:41decisions that, you know, ended up, like I said, that cost us the game.
00:46I think he's spot on. I mean, I agree with that. Sometimes you hear guys say stuff, you're like,
00:52man, really? But he's exactly right. He, he, they were, they would move the ball.
00:58They had some dropped opportunities, Romeo Dobbs. Um, but he just put the ball in harm's
01:04way at times where he didn't need to. This is this and not rehash this, but this is exactly
01:12why on here and on the socials that I went in about Tua's final preseason game performance
01:18about the checkdowns. Oh, he didn't throw the ball down the field. You take what they're
01:24giving you. You're, you're, you're leading successful touchdown drives. Like you don't
01:27have to put the ball in harm's way if they are giving you specific defenses. And if that's
01:32part of the game plan and all it takes is one man, all it takes is one. It interceptions
01:37and turnovers and football are such a backbreaker. I mean, it's, it's one interception of football
01:42game is like four walks in a baseball game. You could probably get away with one set, but
01:47you start getting to start getting three, man, you're, you're in a bad, bad place.
01:51I do believe there's a difference. And I know we'll get into this later. There's a difference
01:55in pushing the ball down the field when the opportunity presents itself. And I saw a couple
02:00of those moments against Miami, as opposed to just putting the ball in harm's way, no
02:06matter what. But I'll tell you this, like, if you want to go to that point, what drew lock
02:12did last night? Exactly what you need from Tua. Don't put the ball in harm's way. Get
02:19the ball in your, I mean, Jackson Smith and Jigba was targeted 19 times. I think you said
02:24that drew lock had 22 pass attempts. So 50% of the time they just got the ball or tried
02:30to get the ball in JSN's hands and say, make a move, including their touchdown, Mike.
02:35Yeah. And, and it was nice. I love that. God, I, you know how we talked yesterday about
02:41the Hassan Kim, about how that hit was worth $20 million. Jackson Smith and Jigba being the
02:46highest paid wide receiver. When you saw him turn on the jets after catching that little
02:50curl route, I was like, I don't know how many millions that was worth, but it was worth a
02:54lot, man, because you were not able to move the football. And then all of a sudden he catches
02:58one little play action curl route, takes it all the way to the house. I'm like, there you
03:01go. I don't know. I don't know how much it's worth, but that's something that's definitely
03:04worth. And the truth is it all comes down to the defense too. Like the, the, whether
03:09or not two is going to take the shots down the field are going to have checkdowns. You
03:13can run that style of offense when you're within 10, when you're within seven, if our
03:18defense is struggling to get stops and they're in, and we're getting the ball run down our
03:21throat, it's going to look a lot worse. If two is just taking checkdowns and throwing
03:24into the flat, you're going to be like, all right, at some point we got to go score
03:27points. And so it all, it all kind of feeds off of one another. And I
03:31thought for the most part, both of those quarterbacks kind of played within what the
03:34game was, you know, not taking risk until, you know, the couple of tip balls and the
03:38job interception to end it, uh, you know, it just drew lock. Just did a better job
03:42of it. Honestly. How deflating though, is that for Sam Darnold last night? You're
03:46getting to do the rematch of the super bowl opening drive last play of it. You go
03:50down. I think deflating is a good word. I, I don't, I don't really know. Cause we
03:55don't know the extent of the injury, but when I saw it, I thought about two in
03:59college. Yeah. The, the, the knee jamming into the ground, he had to be like
04:03stretchered off immediately and flew straight to like hip surgery. So I think
04:07it was deflating, but at some point he's probably gonna be like, man, I got lucky
04:09because that could have been bad. I, I think it was deflating probably for him,
04:14the sideline, the whole building. Um, they, there, I've had the luxury of doing
04:20multiple games up there. It's as good of a NFL crowd as you will ever, um, you know,
04:27attend a game, see a game, play a game, uh, work it, whatever that they're
04:31absolutely phenomenal up there as a fan base. Uh, but I, I think the Seattle's
04:37defense is getting a lot of credit. They should, they played a phenomenal, both
04:39defenses played well, but drew drew drew lock didn't come in and not force feed
04:46anything, not do the things that Drake may did is was, was absolutely what they
04:51needed. Um, I, I hate it for Sam Darnold because you've, it feels like he finally
04:56found home and a home that wants him and he wants to be there and he can, you
05:02know, that, I think his goal was to obviously finish his career there and they
05:05would love to have had, I know the contracts aren't overly long, but it, when,
05:09when he was walking off the field, the way it kept getting worse. And when he
05:12walked in the locker room, the way it just felt like his limp was getting worse.
05:16I was kind of shocked. They let him walk. I was like watching him walk and I'm
05:19going, dude, I've seen way less than this get carded from the sideline. I was
05:25kind of shocked. Yeah, I was too. I don't disagree with you. And you have an
05:29understanding of some of those things and like, Hey, let's be, let's take, let's
05:33be precautionary. Right. I think that's the word. I don't disagree. Can't say I
05:37agree. Don't disagree.
