LSU head coach Lane Kiffin revealed that he deliberately allowed a lengthy weather delay to continue before his team’s dominant 51-10 victory over Clemson.

Lightning near Tiger Stadium forced the game to be delayed, followed by a 90-minute warmup period. Officials reportedly gave Kiffin an opportunity to shorten the delay, but he chose not to, believing Clemson would be uncomfortable spending more time in the visiting locker room.

Kiffin explained his decision after the game, saying, “That locker room sucks over there,” before adding, “And when you sit in there, the longer you sit in there – No, it’s a real thing.”

He also emphasized how far he is willing to go to gain an advantage: “If you haven't figured out my competitiveness in order to win, if I'm gonna go through all that other stuff for two players, nationally, I'm certainly gonna.”

Kiffin continued, “If I think 90 minutes is gonna help us win the game, we're gonna sit in the locker room for 90 minutes.”

LSU ultimately dominated Clemson from start to finish.
