Ilhan Omar’s husband reacts to rumors she fled US after federal raid

Tim Mynett, husband of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, pushed back against reporters questioning him about rumors that his wife had left the United States following a federal search of their Washington, D.C., residence.

During an encounter with Fox News Digital, a reporter asked Mynett, “There are rumors that the congresswoman left the country, is that true?”

Mynett responded sharply, saying, “You guys are annoying the hell out of all the neighbors around here, man.”

The exchange followed a reported search by Homeland Security Investigations as part of an investigation into Omar’s immigration paperwork. Reports also indicated that authorities seized her cellphone and passport during the search. However, claims that Omar had fled the country remained unconfirmed.

Mynett previously told Fox News Digital he was unconcerned about the investigation, stating, “My wife came here when she was 12 years old as a child war refugee. No concerns.”

Separately, federal authorities are examining Omar’s financial disclosures after reported discrepancies in the valuation of her husband’s business interests. Her office attributed the earlier figures to reporting errors.
