The Denver Broncos pulled off a dramatic overtime victory against the Seattle Seahawks, winning 17-14 on Thursday night despite a second-half offensive collapse.
Denver started strong, heading into halftime with a 14-3 lead after touchdown runs from J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. However, the Broncos struggled to maintain their momentum after the break, managing just 36 yards across eight second-half possessions.
Seattle took advantage of Denver’s offensive struggles and fought its way back into the contest. Sam Darnold connected with Rashid Shaheed for a two-point conversion following George Holani’s touchdown, bringing Seattle within three points. Jason Myers then drilled a 34-yard field goal with just three seconds remaining to force overtime.
The decisive moment came when Darnold threw an interception to Denver cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian during sudden death. The turnover gave the Broncos a crucial opportunity, and kicker Wil Lutz converted a 53-yard field goal to secure the win.
Denver’s defense proved instrumental, recording five sacks and forcing three turnovers. Despite the offensive concerns, the Broncos improved to 4-2, while Seattle was left disappointed after a late comeback fell short.
Denver now turns its attention to the Arizona Cardinals.
