The Milwaukee Brewers have stunned baseball fans by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2026 National League Championship Series, ending their hopes of a third consecutive World Series title.
Milwaukee completed the series with a dramatic 6-4 comeback in Game 4 after falling behind 4-0 early. Shohei Ohtani powered the Dodgers to an initial lead with a three-run homer, but the Brewers gradually fought their way back into the game.
Jake Bauers and David Hamilton helped spark Milwaukee’s comeback, while Garrett Mitchell delivered a crucial home run to give the Brewers the advantage. Hamilton added another homer in the ninth inning to seal the victory.
The biggest difference throughout the series was Milwaukee’s remarkable bullpen, which continued to shut down Los Angeles during critical moments. The Dodgers repeatedly struggled to bring runners home, missing several opportunities to keep their championship hopes alive.
The sweep sends Milwaukee to its first World Series since 1982, marking a major milestone for the franchise. Meanwhile, Los Angeles faces an offseason filled with questions after its championship ambitions ended far earlier than expected.
