"Ewiges Deutschland," known as "Hebt das Herz," is a Deutsches Vaterlandslied adapted from Ernst Moritz Arndt's poem (Der Fahnenschwur). It takes the first line of the poem and a modified line of "Schwört auf das Vaterland." The lyricist is Ernst Moritz Arndt (1769 - 1860). The composer is Hans Lang.
If there was a melody that uses all the lyrics of Der Fahnenschwur, I have not yet found that sheet music.
