00:00Hey Vogue, it's Jordan Woods. I'm here today at Daniel Frankel's studio for my final dress
00:05fitting. I'm feeling so many different emotions. It's just so surreal. So let's go inside.
00:21I'm here with my mom and my sister and kind of taking all these emotions as they come.
00:27When I get a little nervous, I don't like to talk about it too much. I know it's going to
00:32be such
00:33an emotional day. Just when you lose a parent, that's one of those things you think about
00:39your dad not being there to walk you down the aisle. Then my mom wears a photo of my dad
00:43on
00:43her neck. So it's just all the emotions all at once. Knowing that we were coming here today,
00:48I was like, let me take it out. Let me wear it today. He's a part of everything every day
00:53anyways,
00:53but I just wanted you to like visibly see him here. Carl and I got engaged on Christmas Eve.
01:00He said, I want to get married this summer. With his professional job, he only has summer to get
01:05married. So I knew, okay, this summer means I have such a short window. Everyone told me you can't get
01:11a dress in in six months. It's not possible. I made four showroom appointments. Danielle was the first
01:18showroom I went to. There's something about that Italian silk that she used that just complimented my
01:23skin tone so perfectly. 10 out of 10. And so when she came in, we kind of just perfected it,
01:29changed
01:29the silhouette up a bit, added some pieces. She just has such a unique eye for detail. And now I
01:35can't
01:35imagine having anyone else do my dress. She met her person. And I love that for her. So if she's
01:42happy,
01:43I'm happy. It's a blessing. Sorry, guys. All right, guys. Now's the time. It is time to try on the
01:52look
01:52for the final time. I'm so excited. I'm already getting emotional. Please don't let me cry. I'm extra.
01:56Lord, please don't let me cry. Lord, please don't let me cry. Whether we cry today, tomorrow, next week,
02:01the tears will just be flowing. Hi. I can't believe we're in LA. I can't either. Come on.
02:18Wow. You can really see the way that we finished the lace. Three different laces, all hand done. And
02:25you can kind of see it if you look closely, like this looks overlaid. Yeah. Well, we use different
02:31shades of ivory too, which I really like. I can see that actually. Yeah. If they saw the process
02:36every time we would meet for a fitting, we would just add a little thing here, add a little thing
02:41there. I can't not work on the body. Like it has to be fittings on the body because otherwise just
02:47to
02:47go from like a sketch to a dress, every person is different. The way they carry themselves and like
02:52the proportions and all that, the place that I'm most comfortable with is like with the fabric in
02:57my hand. We didn't even have this first. Yeah. Well, cause this was something we were developing
03:03separately for collection. And whenever we're developing something for collection, I'm so
03:08eager to put it in with a real bride because I can't wait. It's like, I'm so excited about the
03:13technique. I need it to be on something real. Jordan really allowed me to implement some details that I
03:19thought were really important. And at the same time, I think that there were elements
03:22that were really important to you that really stayed. The design intention was there from
03:27the beginning and the get-go. She was adamant about that being smooth and the stomach area
03:33and getting the ruching perfect. And you have to let the artist be the artist. I could talk
03:38about these dresses for the whole day, but I'm even more excited to try them on. Let's do it.
03:49What's this face? Stop. Stop. You look like a princess. It looks so good. Stop. It's so good.
04:01You look so beautiful. It's insane. Wait, she's like a princess. It's honestly everything I could've
04:05wanted in a dress. This is actually my favorite wedding dress I've ever seen in my life. And I'm not
04:10just saying that because you're
04:10my sister, you're my favorite bride ever. Well, duh. You never think, I mean, for me, I obviously want your
04:19dream wedding dress, but this is better than what I thought my dream wedding dress would be.
04:25I mean, you're better than any dream bride ever. So it's fitting. Oh, you're killing me right now.
04:31I'm sorry. No, but it's true. I'm sorry. No, but actually 10 out of 10. No, no. It feels surreal
04:37seeing this all come together. Jordan, it's insane. Who's going to cry first? Like out of us three? No, I
04:46think your brothers might tear up. Carl might tear up. I don't think there's going to be one dry eye.
04:52I don't think so. Yeah, I don't. I don't think so. Carl's in this thing called the NBA Finals, you
04:57know, so he didn't have time to design his looks.
05:01He knew he wanted Ralph Lauren's suit. I took it from there. I actually got a swatch of the silk
05:08from Danielle's team, dropped it off to Ralph, and I said, can you please match his suit jacket to this?
05:16By the way, guys, how gorgeous is this veil? It's insane. Ridiculous. I like that it's not the scallop I'm
05:22seeing. Right? Yeah. It's a baby scallop. I love mixing ivories. I really think it elevates.
05:29So it doesn't feel like one note. It's all done by hand in our atelier in New York.
05:34It was actually Danielle's idea to... That's beautiful right there. ...add this. We were just like playing around with different
05:40laces, and there's a bit of the silk intertwined with the lace.
05:45It adds a sense of delicate nature to the draping, you know, so it doesn't feel as heavy. It feels
05:56like really soft and natural. Let's try on the next one.
06:00Perfect. A little bit of drama.
06:06I really wanted a second look. I wanted something with lace. I always envisioned that, and so Danielle said, say
06:13no more. I'm going to sketch some things up.
06:15We tried on just the foundation, and it felt very safe or simple, and I asked Jordan to just lift
06:21one side so I could see what was going on under the dress.
06:24And as she was holding it here, the gown draped so beautifully. I said, hold it there. We pinned it
06:30in place, and that's literally what happened.
06:33And now it's what I love it.
06:35This looks identical to me holding it. Like, it was just scrunch.
06:37It had this, like, Grecian feel to it that I felt was really beautiful and complementary to her ceremony gown,
06:45but still different.
06:46So they told a story that was very cohesive.
06:56It's gorgeous.
06:59The shape is sickening. So gorgeous.
07:02I love the draping on it.
07:03He was on the back, though. Do you see?
07:04Wait, let me see.
07:05Yeah, we're going to take it in a bit here.
07:07It's so gorgeous.
07:08It feels timeless in a way where it feels, like, old.
07:13Yeah.
07:14Like, antique, but with a new, modern twist.
07:18I love the arm situation, too.
07:21Yeah, so I wanted a sleeve. This was Danielle's idea to make it a shrug, which I love because you
07:27can always...
07:27Yeah, you can take it off.
07:29Take it off.
07:30This is just, like, if you're...
07:31Yeah.
07:32The knight's getting a little...
07:33Yeah, yeah.
07:33A little cray. A little cray.
07:35There's a full bustier inside with a lace-up corset, so it's really letting her...
07:41Get snatched.
07:42What I love about your corsetting, though, is that there's no spillage.
07:46It's, like, made.
07:47Like, the chest is sitting perfectly in here, so you're not, like, adjusting.
07:52Yeah, even in the back, it's not like you have, like, a roll or anything. It just looks perfect.
07:57And the corset, it's not bulky or anything. It's just flat.
08:00Everything's in place.
08:01You can still breathe.
08:03You can still breathe and sit.
08:06Those things are important.
08:08What?
08:08Yeah, that's everything.
08:09This is the test.
08:10The test.
08:11Wait, did you do this?
08:12Yeah.
08:12Right, I peeped that.
08:13It's almost like a mini dress.
08:14That's actually such a cute detail.
08:17You just snuck in there.
08:19I want to get rid of a little bit.
08:21Yeah.
08:21Yeah, just, like, maybe a little bit.
08:23We are hemming it.
08:25We're taking it in.
08:26And then something's happening here, Margo.
08:29Here.
08:30Yeah, it's because of how I yanked it down and pulled it, and now we need to shift everything
08:36back.
08:37Danielle, how beautiful is that going to be in the photographs?
08:46Wait.
08:48It's so flowy.
08:49It's that water silk again.
08:51Woo!
08:51The signature Danielle silk.
08:53So pretty.
08:54So this is the welcome dinner.
08:57So gorge.
08:58I love.
08:59Wow.
08:59Wait, does the neck look different?
09:02I think it's the same.
09:02No, it's just fluid, so it kind of just does what it wants.
09:04Oh, no, it looks so good, though.
09:06So beautiful.
09:06The train.
09:07I think I saw, like, the rough, rough draft, you know?
09:09I didn't see the tie right here.
09:11Oh, yeah.
09:12Yeah.
09:12Yeah.
09:12Looks so good.
09:13Wow.
09:14Do you remember the first dress?
09:15I had a first dress that I liked in dinner.
09:18I was like, no.
09:19No, I don't think we should do that one.
09:21Yeah, I love that you pivoted from that.
09:23Wait, let me see the back.
09:25This is so beautiful.
09:27Whoever slept on it, I'm fighting them.
09:29I think the more, like, the dirtier your gown gets, the better of a time you had.
09:36Facts, of course.
09:37They honestly should be dirty by the end of the night, but not that dirty.
09:45All of the hard work, all of the seamstress, Danielle, the creativity, it's just, one, so
09:52inspiring, two, I'm nervous about the wedding, but this makes the nerves kind of just flow
10:01knowing that I feel confident in all my looks, and I feel so grateful that I've had a designer
10:08that has executed to the extreme.
10:11I have my family with me, and it's really time to enjoy.
10:16So thank you guys so much for coming to my final Fitting with Vogue.
