00:23Hi it's Zahra and I would like to order some room service please. Amazing. Thanks.
00:31Yum. Oh this reminds me of PewDiePanna. I don't know how you would say that in English but it's like
00:39I don't know it's like the fancy version of a PewDiePanna. I'm in Chicago. I am
00:46sort of getting ready for today's performance which is Lollapalooza and I've been here about
00:5310 years ago. I think a lot is happening in a decade. I was a teenager and I'm a woman.
00:59I feel like my voice is better. I feel like I have more fun actually. I feel more involved in
01:05my
01:05artistry and in my songwriting and in the making of the show and I think you can really really tell.
01:11I'm excited if anyone's in the crowd tonight that was also there 2017 to see
01:18the change because I think it's quite huge. So I just got her. She don't really have a name yet.
01:24She's so cute. It was based on someone's grandma and I thought she looked really cool. I don't know.
01:30I think she just like reminds me of me. It's a really nice accessory. So maybe I'll just bring
01:36her like this. I feel like my voice is a little bit tired today. Oh.
01:47I'll warm it up for you guys. So my warm up isn't actually the first time I sing it tonight.
01:52Should we see how it goes? I get nervous now. Right. Okay. Here we go.
02:24I'm sweating honestly.
02:28I think it's time to go. Come with me. Let's have fun.
02:34My teeth look so white. That's Lollapalooza. See ya.
02:42This show is definitely one of the biggest shows that I will do this summer. And it's something
02:49that I've been looking forward to a lot. I almost feel a bit nervous. I don't know. I hope it
02:53lives
02:53up to the expectations. It will. It will.
02:59Oh my God. Oh my God. I didn't expect to see you. Oh my God.
03:13Now we are backstage on a buggy. Look and here's where we were in the car and now I'm on
03:22the other
03:22side of it. Stay hydrated.
03:28So today the inspiration for the look is a crawfish and it was purple with orange details and it was
03:36really beautiful. I don't know how you found it. Maybe it was on your interest board. There we go.
03:44When it comes to glam, we don't really overthink anything to be honest. We're just kind of like
03:48living at all. I just sit in the chair. I'm a little bit of an oily skin girl but luckily
03:54like
03:56we don't even use setting. People are like what setting spray? No setting spray. But I do like I'm
04:01pretty light with your skincare but I know because you are like a little bit oily here so I'm like
04:07a
04:07like the T-zone. Exactly. And then I do like a good layer of powder. Hella powder. Hella powder.
04:13Yeah. Yeah. But nothing else. No setting spray. No primer. No primer. Sorry I'm perfect.
04:21We've never been like let's do like Y2K. You know. No, never. Even with my stylist and the people who
04:28like
04:28create my world. It just kind of happens to be stuff that I maybe was inspired by growing up which
04:36is obviously in that era. But I think I'm just trying to have things that I really like. Like
04:43it's not simple really. Which is usually sparkly and glittery and fun. Very fun. Outfits for stage.
04:52I like him to be really comfortable to dance in. Meaning no restrictions. Like I can lift my arms
04:59all the way up. I can do a split. I want to be able to feel like I can move.
05:04I think that's really
05:04important. And then not too hot. I really don't like being hot. So usually I keep it as naked as
05:10possible
05:11and as colorful as possible. Because there's a lot of things happening on stage. We have like different
05:16levels. There's a lot of color. There's a lot of people. So you still kind of want to stand out
05:22a
05:22little bit. And I think we do that with fun shiny sparkling materials or really strong vivid colors.
05:30Well I personally don't like to have too much backing track. When you do it live it's not always
05:36like perfect perfect perfect. And I don't mind that it's not flawless. And sometimes I think it's really
05:43really common these days to have like a pitch corrector on the microphone. I definitely have that
05:48sometimes. But sometimes I'm like it takes away the soul. This is what I'm going to wear tonight.
05:54We're either going to do the light shorts or the dark shorts. I feel like these fit better.
06:00But these ones are nice and sparkly. So let's try it on itself.
06:13So what happened was we were walking out on the way to stage and then it was like
06:18stop. Do you want to go on a later time? And I was like yeah. What happened? And then it
06:24shows that
06:25it is kind of raining here. So I wonder where Lil Uzi Vert is because he was supposed to go
06:29on after me.
06:30But it was weather delays. So he couldn't make his set on time. And then they asked me if I
06:36wanted
06:36to take his set time. Which is right after me. So I was like yes I do. Thank you very
06:41much.
06:42It literally could not have been better. And now we have time to put some extra love and energy into
06:47the hair and makeup. I don't feel like I have to stress. I might even do a little focal warm
06:52up.
06:52Who knows? And a nap. And a nap.
06:56What I'm wearing today is a Yoroko very cute girl strip sort of like striped polo cropped.
07:06And then I have a pair of shorts that we put a little flower on. And these amazing girl strip
07:13Midnight Sun boots. So I feel like this is a little bit different than the Midnight Sun
07:18original aesthetic. But it's still in the same world. It's just like a sister of what I usually wear
07:24on my own shows and my tours when I have other changes and stuff. But I feel like
07:30it's so fun. And then I have my my puss puss underwear. The moto gloves come from the girls trip
07:37theme which I feel like is sort of like going on my motorbike, going in my truck. This is for
07:45certain
07:46like a throwback thing. Almost giving like Hannah Montana in the best way. I just think it adds like
07:53an element of of pop star to the look. So here's some other tour looks. This is one of my
07:58favorites
07:58that I've been wearing so far. I wore this for Lollapalooza in Berlin. And I just love this color.
08:03It pops so beautifully on stage and in the light. Gorgeous! It's by Barack. And it also comes with
08:11the matching top. He made this in pink also for me. This one is also a look that I've been
08:17wearing.
08:18I wore this in Norway. And it was the first show of the year. And it was kind of cold
08:24up there. So
08:25then we have this gorgeous jacket from Fancy Club that we remade a little bit. It had some straps.
08:30And we took that off. Added the flowers. And then we have these capris from Agro Studios. And we
08:37bling them out. And they're very like nice and stretchy which is important. And I just love a capri.
08:46I do. Sue me. My bedazzler is my stylist. Sometimes when I look at comments I'm like oh my god
08:54that's me.
08:54Like people just use that for so many things. This one. The first is like oh no it's like that.
09:03It's like that.
09:07You know what that was? It was like top three albums. Top three pop albums. And I just thought
09:13that was a really hard question. B day. Back to basic. Midnight Sun. Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna finish
09:20up here. And then we'll head to stage. All right ladies. Let's go. We're going down the stairs.
09:26I'm going down the stairs. I'm going down the stairs.
09:38I think it's just so impressive in general. Festivals. To my own shows. To everything that goes on
09:45backstage. That there's so many people involved in all of this. I just kind of show up and the stage
09:51is there. The set is there. The mic is on. The lights work. I'm enjoying traveling with them and
09:58making the show with them. Because it really wouldn't be any show without all the people
10:02backstage. It's definitely not like a one-woman show.
10:15Hold up Kalooza. How we feeling?
10:20Let me take you to the Midnight Sun.
10:48Let me take you to the Midnight Sun.
10:54Let me make Midnight Sun.
11:13Thank you so much
11:16A memory for a life
11:18Thank you, Chicago
11:28Let's go
