Foreign weapons and fighters are fuelling Sudan’s war. A new U.N. report says both sides are using advanced weapons and drones to strike far beyond the front lines, with some attacks possibly amounting to war crimes.

00:20The war between the Sudanese army and the Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, or RSF,
00:25has been raging for three years and has forced more than 14 million people from their homes.
00:31The report says a network involving individuals and entities in the UAE, Chad, Libya and Somalia,
00:38has provided the RSF with weapons, training, logistics and foreign personnel.
00:42The UAE denies supporting the RSF, while Chad says it remains neutral.
00:47The UN also found evidence that Colombian contractors have helped operate drones
00:52and other advanced weapons for the RSF.
00:55These foreign-supplied drones are also giving Sudan's army a greater ability to strike from long range.
01:01The result, a war in which both sides can now hit targets far from the front lines.
01:07More than a thousand civilians were killed in drone strikes between January and May this year.
