00:05be a finalist in the innovation in agriculture category. Plenty Foods is a family-owned business
00:11that has been processing Australian-grown nuts and seeds for 40 years. We produce specialty oils,
00:18nut pastes and most recently high-protein nut powders. Our innovation is Australia's first
00:24purpose-built production line capable of converting peanuts and almonds into fine
00:30defatted protein powders. Importantly, the process can fully utilise lower-grade kernels
00:37that are wholesome and nutritious, but often difficult for growers and nut processors to
00:43sell at an acceptable return. These grades are produced in significant volumes, so creating
00:48strong and ongoing demand for them will help lift the base recovery prices, with that value flowing
00:55back through the supply chain to the farm gate. We're transforming those kernels into high-value
01:02sought-after protein ingredients for food manufacturing and consumers. The powders can
01:08replace imported ingredients while also creating new export opportunities. We've already sent our
01:15first shipments overseas, and here in Australia, Coles has backed the innovation by ranging our peanut
01:21powder nationally through its supermarkets earlier this year. For us, this is about using more of what
01:28Australian farmers grow and creating greater value from every crop.
