00:02All right, let's start with the American League East.
00:04The Tampa Bay Rays are 82-55.
00:08The Yankees are four and a half games back,
00:10and there's a four-game series in the Bronx in September
00:14that really could determine whether or not the Rays hang on to the American League East.
00:19Most likely, the Rays are going to hang on to the East,
00:22and the Yankees will win the first wildcard.
00:25That's the most likely.
00:26But take a look at what's going on in the Central.
00:28The White Sox are 72-65.
00:32They're chasing a season that could win them their division
00:36after three straight 100 loss seasons.
00:39However, the Guardians are sitting right behind them at 69-68,
00:45three games back in the loss column, and they are very much alive.
00:48If you remember, we have a 25-1 ticket on the White Sox to win the American League,
00:55not the World Series, win the American League.
00:58You can talk about the value of that because of how things may shake out
01:01if the White Sox could win one series in the postseason.

01:11Continuing with this breakdown, when you look at the West,
01:14the Astros are 70-68, and they're trying to win another division title.
01:20The Rangers are two games back, and the Mariners are six games back, but they're done.
01:24I don't buy the Mariners have the offense, the interest, or the ability to catch anybody.
01:28I think the Mariners are done.
01:30I think the Tigers are done.
01:31So you look at the wildcard race on the right side of your screen as to where we are,
01:36Red Sox and the Yankees are getting the top two wildcards.
01:38The Yankees are not going to get caught by Boston, even though Boston's just three games back
01:43in the loss column.
01:44I would be stunned.
01:45There's about 24 games left for both the Red Sox and the Yankees.
01:49I do not think we see the Yankees lose enough that the Red Sox would catch them.
01:54Now, I have a bet on the Yankees to go under 90 and a half wins.
01:59So if the Red Sox catch the Yankees, then the Red Sox would wind up getting over their
02:05win total of 86 and a half.
02:06They would keep the Yankees under 90 and a half, and the Red Sox will make the playoffs.
02:12I also bet the Yankees to miss the playoffs, but they're making the playoffs.
02:16I bet they're going to miss.
02:18So the American League, just the divisional races are fascinating.
02:22Like just as we're watching how each night your scoreboard watching in the American
02:26League, you can really start to bet off that as to who needs to win and who is playing
02:31a bad baseball team because they can pad their win totals.
02:34So it is, we're into September.
02:36It's the 1st of September.
02:37This is what we can do with this.
02:39Now, the wildcard.
02:41Look at this.
02:43The Guardians are 69 and 68.
02:47The Orioles are 69 and 69.
02:50The Rangers are 68 and 70.
02:53The Blue Jays are 68 and 70.

02:59And then I don't think the Mariners and the Tigers are in it.
