00:00And then I look at the American League East, and I see Toronto.
00:03I see the sputtering Yankees with a lot of firepower, and Aaron Judge is on that team.
00:07And then I see the Boston Red Sox, and I see Dustin May go six scoreless with eight punch-outs on Tuesday night.
00:14And then I know that they have Garrett Crochet lining up as well.
00:17And I know that Giolito has been throwing the crap out of the ball recently.
00:20And I know that Brian Baio is really starting to hit his stride as well.
00:24And this offense, man.
00:25I mean, Bregman has homered in back-to-back games in his return to Houston.
00:28And Roman Anthony looks like the absolute truth right now.
00:31Boston is – if I said it a week ago, they'd feel like a Cinderella.
00:36Saying it now, it feels pretty realistic atop with Toronto.
00:40And there's not much for me separating Toronto and Boston at the moment.
00:43I was going to ask you that.
00:44That was going to be my question.
00:45I think Roman Anthony doing what he's doing now really starts to make that a conversation.
00:50Do you have a tangible swing adjustment too?
00:52Remember the hands kind of started closer to his face, and then he'd pull it back.
00:55It was a bigger move.
00:56Now he's starting with them deeper in his stance.
00:58And it just seems like he has more time to see the ball, less movement.
01:01He's more consistently on time, and the results have clearly been there.
01:04And you mentioned the return of Bregman.
01:06But I do think the Blue Jays just have a little bit more going for them right now.
01:12And I do think there's a lot of eggs in the Garrett Crochet basket.
01:16And he did look human in that start against the Astros.
01:19He's also a guy that's going to be exceeding some high innings totals for himself this year, especially if they do go to the postseason, right?
01:27And as it gets late, how much can you ride Crochet?
01:30And can you ride him through seven, eight, nine innings like you may need to in some of these outings?
01:35That said, I look at the Blue Jays, and the staff's been solid, but I kind of go back to the who do I really, really, really trust here?
01:45And I don't know who that necessarily is, but, man, do they rake.
01:50And they play great defense, and they do a lot of things really well.
01:53I think they are really close.
01:55I do think it's neck and neck.
01:58There's something about the depth of this Blue Jays offense, though, that gets me going.
02:03But then I look at the rotation in the bullpen, and I say, I feel better about the Blue Jays pitching situation, I think, over 162.
02:11But in a playoff series, I do think that you could find a way to kind of close that gap and make these teams very, very comparable.
02:20So I do see them kind of as 1A, 1B, too.
