00:00Now, is there a game you're looking forward to?
00:02For me, I really want to see Belichick play against TCU.
00:04I want to see if he's able to turn around a little bit.
00:06But, I mean, you said there's eight games.
00:08Is there anything that you've really got, I guess, circled that you want to see this weekend?
00:12Well, that's the one.
00:13And here's my question, and an article later this week will ask it, is what can Bill Belichick do to
00:21get off the hot seat?
00:22Like, if we say, oh, he's on the hot seat and this is that and everything's that, well, we know
00:26that.
00:26Yeah, so my question is, okay, what would it take for him to kind of silence the critics?
00:32What if they go out there and compete, which I think is not out of the realm of possibility.
00:37They have a ton of transfers.
00:39You know, I do see him as a coach that would make progress in year two.
00:43I think a lot of it will hinge on the quarterback.
00:45You know, but everybody, I do think, and you guys may disagree, that everybody's going into that game Saturday thinking
00:53we're going to see an instant replay of the 48-14 blowout against TCU last year.
00:58I actually think they could compete a little bit.
01:00They get a couple turnovers.
01:02I'm not saying they're going to win, but, man, a seven and a half point spread, that looks like a
01:06lot in a game overseas where there's a lot of unknowns when they play over there.
01:11Five of the last six games in Dublin have been decided by three points or less.
01:15Well, and you look at, I believe that, was that Florida State-Georgia Tech debacle for Florida State?
01:21That was there.
01:21I mean, it seems like things, Bill, and I haven't played in London in my final season with New England.
01:28It's a weird environment, like, to go over there and play.
01:30Like, it's not a home game for anybody.
01:32And, like, they call it, you know, you talk about playing some of these games, like neutral site games.
01:36I mean, it's a true neutral site because I don't know that everybody even knows what the hell is going
01:41on that's there.
01:42They're there.
01:42It's like going to a concert.
01:44Like, they cheer for just, like, good things.
01:46So it's really tough emotionally as a player to kind of get invested and understand kind of how you're feeling
01:52and what's going on at that moment.
01:53Yeah, I was going to ask.
01:55So, like, what was the biggest adjustment for you?
01:57I always wonder with college players, and you were in the NFL at the time.
02:01In NFL, I mean, that's adults that have played all over the place.
02:04You know, what do you think the biggest adjustment for a college football player would be in that environment?
02:10Where clearly, also, yeah, they're definitely at a concert because they're having a couple beers up in the stands, more
02:15than a couple if they're in Ireland, too.
02:17Well, the one thing that is really tough to figure out, and this, like, doesn't go into on the field,
02:22but it impacts you leading in, is I'm curious how Belichick chose to fly over there.
02:26Like, we went over, of course, like, in true Bill fashion.
02:29The Rams went over there for the whole week, had a couple practices, then they got to chill, and guys
02:34got to relax.
02:35We practiced back at home Wednesday, Thursday, flew out Thursday after practice, like a red-eye situation, landed there Friday.
02:45They wanted to go do practice Friday, and then Bill realized how far it was going to be in the
02:50traffic, so we ended up doing, like, a glorified walkthrough, I want to say, maybe that was Saturday.
02:58I don't know, one of the days.
02:59I think it was Friday.
03:03At Hyde Park.
03:04Like, we're literally doing our walkthrough, but, like, it'd be, like, in Central Park, and we're setting stuff up.
03:09There's people riding horses around.
03:11I mean, it was totally bizarre with everything that went on, but the biggest thing for me, being a guy,
03:18like, that needed to eat a lot, was how terrible the food is.
03:21Like, English food, you think, like, oh, you know, you go to Great Britain, speak the same language, you know,
03:28a lot of carryover, like, their food has no seasoning.
03:30They don't really cook their eggs, their bacon is, like, mushy, it's gross.
03:35Like, it was really hard to find good food while we were there, and, like, leading in, if you're there
03:40for a couple of days, Bill, that can impact your ability to perform on the field.
03:45So, I'm curious to see on North Carolina, and obviously, TCU, they've got a couple more hours to travel as
03:51they're coming from Texas.
03:53Like, that's a big deal.
03:54Yeah, and I think that's going to be interesting to see how they respond to that.
03:59And, you know, on the other side, TCU, they've got a new quarterback, Jaden Craig, Harvard transfer.
04:05So, you know, and you look at his TD-Dianti ratio, that's the first, it's weird, when you look at
04:10quarterbacks, it's always the first stat I look at.
04:13It's, okay, how many touchdown passes does this dude throw against how many interceptions, and especially at the NFL level.
04:19And it looks like he doesn't make many mistakes.
04:21So, if North Carolina can force a couple turnovers, I looked at their games last year, that's when they had
04:27success games, when they had multiple turnovers forced.
04:30And, of course, that seems obvious, but that's when Belichick's teams were at their finest anyway, when they were winning
04:35the turnover battle.
04:36So, that's something to watch within the game.
