00:00UCF opens, Coach, as a six-and-a-half point home favorite over North Carolina.
00:05North Carolina and Bill Belichick have racked up back-to-back wins.
00:09They now go on the road.
00:11They're catching six-and-a-half in this matchup.
00:14I think Gio Lopez and the Tar Heels, potentially, Coach,
00:18could get their third win in a big way outright, potentially, over UCF.
00:24You're reading my mind there because I've got that happening, too.
00:27I don't know how good North Carolina has become because they've won two games
00:32since that loss.
00:33I can't get out of my mind about TCU.
00:36But they're getting better.
00:37Now, their competition was getting worse.
00:39They play Richmond, and the teams that they played are not Charlotte
00:43and Richmond, not that good.
00:45But really, UCF hasn't played anybody.
00:48Jacksonville State they played, I think, and won that game,
00:52and another game that they played against a team that wasn't very good.
00:56And Scott Frost is facing kind of the same situation.
01:00He's got about 60 or 70 new players.
01:02He's taken over in his first year of rebuilding a program with a new staff,
01:06new teams.
01:07And I just kind of think that Bill Belichick will do a better job of building
01:11his team faster than Scott Frost at UCF.
01:14I agree.
01:15And they beat up on Jacksonville State week one, 17 to 10.
01:20And then I believe they played North Carolina A&T, and they raced them 68 to 7.
01:26So if we're just looking at the body of work, I do like the fact that North Carolina
01:31has already played three games as opposed to two.
01:34The heat in Orlando could always be a factor, but North Carolina should be prepared.
01:38It's humid there as well, even though they're going on the road.
01:41I think the biggest thing for me, too, is they gave up well over seven yards per carry.
01:46North Carolina did in their week one performance against Sonny Dykes and TCU.
01:50They've only given up basically nine points total in back-to-back games.
01:55And granted, it's Richmond and Charlotte, but still, those are pretty good defensive
01:59efforts.
02:00I have to believe that all of a sudden, Bill Belichick and Steve Belichick,
02:04the defensive coordinator, are starting to understand how this talent starts to respond
02:09in game situations, and we might get another stellar defensive effort on the road.
02:14And I think the motivation of the coaches at North Carolina, because none of us really
02:19could figure out why he was going to North Carolina at his age and with his success.
02:24Was he just trying to give his sons a chance to go on and coach?
02:27But you know something?
02:28To go there and to fail.
02:30I think that sits with you, and after that first game, you've got coaches with so much
02:35pride, with so much ability, they've set themselves in the course correct, and they know what they've
02:42got to do to be successful.
02:43And I think you're going to see a North Carolina team that gets better and better and better.
02:48So maybe it won't be the quick flip around of a program like everybody at Chapel Hill was
02:53thinking, but I think they're moving in the right direction, and he just might have that
02:59program in the next year or two in contention for the ACC.
03:03Absolutely.
03:04Keep an eye out for former Indiana transfer for UCF, Taven Jackson.
03:08He stepped up.
03:10He's playing very well in Scott Frost's scheme.
03:12We'll see if he can attack that North Carolina defense over the top.
03:16We'll also see if the heat is an issue in the second half of that ballgame.
03:20Coach and I both like North Carolina against UCF.
