00:00This poor dog just wants to run free and thanks to one of our favorite
00:03reoccurring animal rescuers, Audrey Luck of Lux Rescue, she'll finally have the
00:08chance. I found Cinnamon when I was doing some community outreach passing out dog
00:14food. I felt so bad for her, seeing her on that chain and the condition she was
00:20in. She was suffering and I knew she needed out of there.
00:25It was a pretty girl!
00:27But before Audrey could help her, she had to figure something out with the
00:30owners. I asked the people who owned her if they would surrender her and they said
00:36yes. So that very next day we went back and got her and brought her straight to
00:41our vet. Not only would she finally walk past her chain length, she would also get
00:46those gnarly wounds treated once and for all. We got her all the medicine
00:53she needed and she immediately started to feel better. Then we brought her to the foster home.
00:59It was a good girl!
01:01And I think for the first time in years, she was able to run freely off of a chain.
01:09She was lovingly named Cinnamon and Audrey instantly fell in love with the sweet,
01:14energetic dog she was becoming.
01:16It was so special to watch her run around that yard experiencing the fresh grass, smelling
01:24everything. You could tell that she was so happy.
01:30She has a long road to recovery because she is heartworm positive and because of her skin issues.
