00:01Well, we're less than two days from the start of the Sydney Marathon, which is the biggest
00:07marathon in Australia.
00:09But as you can see, there are so many runners out and about prepping for the race, maybe
00:15doing a slow run before the race begins on Sunday.
00:2040,000 runners, a record number of runners, are going to be running across the Sydney
00:25Harbour Bridge behind me.
00:27The bridge will actually be completely closed for runners and the course will take runners
00:33up across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, down through Darling Harbour, up Oxford Street and they'll
00:38turn around at Kensington and then do a run around Centennial Park before ending up back
00:44in the city.
00:46There's expected to be over half a million spectators lining the course, ready to cheer
00:53on runners and there's just so many people from across the globe, down here this morning,
00:58preparing to run.
01:00Let's take a listen to some tourists.
01:01I ran the Cape Town Marathon on May 24th and I got injured and so I wasn't sure I'd come
01:08back and so this is mainly trying to finish.
01:11My time will not be fast this year.
01:12There will be about five hours, hopefully, five hours.
01:16And how many marathons have you done in your life?
01:18I've done 49.
01:20So your 50th?
01:21This will be my 50th.
01:22The race will finish here at the iconic Sydney Opera House and I'm sure there's a lot of runners
01:28looking forward to when they get to the finish line.
01:31And I'm sure there's this one.
