00:07As Venezuelans that have this task of directing the country, I'm working in concrete solutions
00:17to resolve the priorities and public service and national content. This June 24, the earthquake
00:29put at the forefront an emergency of a magnitude that never have been living in the Venezuelan
00:36history. Thousands of families, loved ones, lost homes. There are ones who still today are
00:47ways to recover their normal life. I know there are families that haven't been able to return
00:54home. Any figure is sufficient. And I know there are those who still have difficulties
01:01with services like water, supply, electricity. That doesn't mean that the problem is resolved.
01:07That's why we continue working without failing in the effort. In the first hours, all Venezuelans
01:15responded. Neighbors, civil protection, the armed forces, they all worked together with international
01:28mechanisms that we activated to receive thousands of rescuers and to receive humanitarian aid and
01:35specialists from different countries. Our health care system treated almost 20,000 patients and
01:44more than 25,000 Venezuelans have to be temporarily in shelter, temporary shelters. All of them receive
01:54a dignified treatment. Today, we are in another stage, another phase. It's about to rehabilitate
02:05the life conditions of the families. With the plan of security. We have been working with international
02:26technicians and the United Nations alongside with other mechanisms of international cooperation.
02:33We have removed the 28% of the debris, around 28,000 tons of debris. It's a world that requires
02:50a lot of care.
02:52Those debris are not simply material that have to be removed. There was, there were homes in
03:02some cases. In some cases, the complete history of a family, a whole family. That's why we are doing this
03:08work with respect and dignity while we are bands in the recovery of every community. We have delivered 325 homes.
03:20We
03:21we have recovered 1,001 homes that benefit more than 3,000 people. And besides, we will
03:29allocate more homes before the end of the year in order to facilitate the life of the families affected. Nobody
03:40will be
03:42without care without care and without help. But I want to highlight something. The work with the public services
03:50didn't start with the earthquake and it doesn't end with the recovery. We have a national plan to improve in
04:01a progressive way to restore
04:06the basic services, electricity, water, and to improve the life of Venezuelans. The earthquake just made an urgent
04:15urgent does that plan of benefit in the life of Venezuelans. And we are working on a plan, working on
04:30a plan to
04:33amplify our electric capacity. That way to, in that way to attend the high demand generated. But behind every megawatt
04:50there is a family. There is a student that needs life to do their homework. The hospital that needs to
04:58work. The business that
05:00and the enterprise that needs to open and generate jobs, services that work better. That is the objective. That is
05:10why we
05:11continue building our economy in the middle of the emergency. The oil production didn't stop. Today it got over 1
05:24million barrels per day. We have subscribed more than 50 agreements in oil that will
05:41increase. So, the CEPAL projects the growth of Venezuela in a 6.5 percent, the higher of the region. We
05:54have
05:54accumulated 21 months of growth. But this is not the final objective because we still have a lot to recover.
06:06An
06:07economy that have been gravely impacted by sanctions. The objective is that an economy that grows, that have
06:16better wages for workers, that have better wages for workers, services and opportunities for families. We also have
06:23been reducing the breach of the exchange, monetary change. Behind that number there is a concrete fact that a family
06:38can organize better their expenses, that an enterprise can planify and invest. We have an objective to do more. And
06:56there is
06:56something that cannot be missing. They are working to make easier the life of the citizen to amplify the digital
07:06services and their services and avoid a person that has to deliver several time documents. We have, we want a
07:15state that
07:16can resolve, not that complicate. We are working in a tributary system more automatized and that besides can improve. In
07:36this
07:36month, we also have been recovering our relations with the world. We have regularized our relations with our
07:47international organizations like the IMF and we are establishing diplomatic relations and consular relations with
07:56several countries. We do it because Venezuela needs investment, technology, financing, cooperation, and
08:06countries. And our competitors in the rest of the world needs a world and a country that can accompany the
08:16services with normality. Our relations with the world needs to be guided in a simple way. And when we talk
08:27about a state that
08:29we have a company and the institutions that work better and that are at the service with the people, in
08:36the coming days, we are going to
08:38eliminate that.
08:40the
08:44systems, police systems. We believe that security must be guaranteed with mechanisms that work and that respect the rights of
08:58the people. And that the
08:59Likewise we are working with the committee of the Red Cross, the
09:04International Committee of the Red Cross, and we will continue to improve what
09:10needs to be improved. We would like to... the people knows what... we are also
09:21giving steps to go to deepen the... we can defend different political affiliations
09:33but we must be able to work together when we when we have a stake in matters that
09:40touches all. That's why we reached an agreement with the sector of the
09:46opposition represented by the National Assembly of 2015 in order to... to
09:56renovate the judicial power and to assess the situation of the earthquake. To this
10:04date 1046 Venezuelans have been liberated. We will continue advancing with
10:12responsibility. We still have problems important problems to needs to be
10:19addressed. There are people who are still awaiting a definitive home. There are
10:27Venezuelans who are worried about their incomes for their jobs and for the future
10:33of their sons. I cannot tell you that everything is done but I can tell you
10:41that we have a clear path forward. We want to reveal that those all that was
10:49destroyed by the earthquake to create jobs to make simple the functioning of the
10:56state and reconnect with the world to find spaces for the Venezuelans can
11:04resolve the future that we share. The future is just in front of us and belongs
11:10to us. At the end this is the criteria the most the most simple criteria to
11:17resolve the problems. That a family can have a secure home that a young man can
11:26study and find opportunities that those who want to... that those Venezuelans that have
11:34left the country can rebuild their future. That is the task that we have right in front of us.
11:43A national task that goes beyond a government, a party, or a circumstance. It's an opportunity to
11:51rebuild what the earthquakes destroyed but also to improve everything that we need to improve.
11:58that's why Venezuela needs to rise again. Building a country more efficient, more productive, and with
12:07more opportunities for all. And Venezuela must rise by the hand of their young ones. Those that we need to
12:16take care of as a treasure that
12:19that those that will make that makes us feel proud of what we are, sons and daughters of
12:26believers forever. God bless Venezuela and all the Venezuelans." And those were the
12:34statements at this hour of the acting president, Darcy Rodriguez, in which she thanked the
12:39Venezuelan people. And she said that the task on the front road is not done yet. It's not finished yet.
12:50That they need to address several tasks in order to continue improving the country and rebuilding everything that was destroyed
12:57by the earthquake. That the earthquake
