00:14There was plenty of time for the Yankees to make up that ground.
00:18And that was only a week or so ago, and here we are,
00:21and the deficit that once existed has now been cut in half.
00:24The Yankees are down three to the raise in the loss column.
00:28They still have four games remaining against Tampa here at Yankee Stadium at the end of the year.
00:35Tampa is a good to very good team.
00:38They're not a great team.
00:39And even despite all the Yankees' issues this year with injuries,
00:42and the injuries still continue to pile up,
00:46when the dust settles, when the smoke clears,
00:49the Yankees are going to win the American League East,
00:52which is very advantageous for Aaron Boone managed teams.
00:55You don't want to be a wild card team.
00:56And the Yankees in general, they've never been to the World Series as a wild card team.
01:03So winning the division would mean the Yankees would have the right kind of history on their side.
01:10It wouldn't shock me at all, by the way, if within a week the Yankees are in first place.
