00:00If I'm the Yankees, if I'm Brian Cashman, I'm getting on a phone and calling up the Blue Jays.
00:06And I'm going to try to see if I can pull off a trade for George Springer.
00:09This is a guy that has been in a million big games, has a million big hits, has championship DNA.
00:17He's killed the Yankees for years.
00:21He's not going to be scared off by the bright lights or the big moment.
00:26He's a right-handed hitting outfielder.
00:30He's somebody that you can put in tomorrow on this team.
00:34And he could be a major help to the Yankees.
00:40Ideally, when you are trying to acquire players, if you're Brian Cashman,
00:45you want to bring in guys that have strong postseason experience and strong postseason success.
00:52Because the undoing of the Yankees in the Aarons era, more often than not, and that is Boone and Judge,
00:58more often than not, has been the offense.
00:59The lack of hitting.
01:00Because the pitching gets better in October or whatever the case may be.
01:03But the Yankee bats have, for the most part, gone quiet through the years outside of the one year they
01:09went to the World Series.
01:10But that was with a Juan Soto.
01:12That was with a healthy Stanton.
01:14You know Soto's not there.
01:15And Stanton may or may not even be back or fully healthy by the time October rolls around.
01:22To me, George Springer is the perfect fit.
01:24It's tricky because it's an in-division trade.
01:26But it's a guy with a ton of experience.
01:29A ton of big game experience.
01:30A lot of big clutch hits.
01:35And he's not afraid of the stage.
01:38So if Cashman and the Yankees could pull this off, I think it would be a major, major, major addition
01:43for them.
