00:00I was told that there's going to be some backlash from the buyout,
00:05that people are a little angry about the Westgate selling,
00:09and that's why they're not interested in being a part of the contest.
00:13Is that fair?
00:15You know, it's fair for the gamblers.
00:18I don't see why that would affect the contest players,
00:20but it could be that it carries over.
00:22The gamblers would be like,
00:23I can't get my good odds from the Westgate anymore.
00:25I got to get stuck with Caesar's odds.
00:27Why am I going to play the contest?
00:29It could be, but the contest is still the same one.
00:32It's still the great value,
00:33still great entertainment value with their in-season prizes.
00:36You know, it's definitely worth a look for folks.
00:39A lot easier.
00:40Yes.
00:41Oh, yeah.
00:42You're only competing against, you know,
00:44I don't know, one-eighth of the competition
00:46that you would be competing against here.
00:50For the other numbers, we got the Survivor.
00:52They're actually plus five,
00:53because again, Survivor carries well no matter where it goes.
00:57They're up 16%.
00:58The gold is, you know, they're close.
01:01Last year, at this time, they were at 16.
01:04On Wednesday, they were at 13.
01:07You know, down three entries, 18%,
01:09but that's, you know, still a small number.
01:11I think they'll get close to 60, 70 in that.
01:14They had 70-some last year.
01:16The college, also lagging a little bit.
01:21Ooh, wow.
01:22Last year on, yeah, which was surprising,
01:24but it's still the strongest contest there,
01:26and it, you know, by far and away,
01:29outpaced the super contest.
01:31So last year, college was at 337.
01:33This past Wednesday, it was at 253,
01:36down about 25%.
01:39So kind of tracking where the super contest is down.
01:42But again, we got the, you know,
01:44college is going to end.
01:46It gets the extra week also,
01:48because it's been pushed back a week,
01:49you know, on its own.
01:51So we'll see.
01:53So walk me through this.
01:55Well, walk me through this,
01:56because this is what I'm going to be doing with you.
01:57So I know how it works,
01:59but I don't know if the public knows,
02:00people watching knows how it works.
02:02So I'm coming in,
02:04and I'm going to be there.
02:05I'm going to go to Circa.
02:06I will get the Ultimate Football Contest weekend
02:07coming up on the 27th and 28th.
02:09So I'm going to be there.
02:10But I want to go to the Westgate,
02:11because I want to sign up for the contest,
02:13for the college contest as well.
02:15I want to use you as my proxy for both.
02:18How do I set up appointments?
02:20How does it work?
02:21If I want to be at both properties,
02:23but on my one trip to Vegas.
02:26So basically,
02:27I would have you make two separate appointments.
02:29Make one for the Circa.
02:30Make one for the Westgate.
02:31Do it all on our website,
02:33vegasfootballproxy.com.
02:34There'll be a link to schedule.
02:35Flip that link.
02:36You'll have the calendar pop up.
02:38You can choose to go try to back-to-back.
02:40I would say make them an hour apart.
02:42Typically, we try to do our Westgate appointments
02:44in the morning.
02:45It just makes more sense.
02:46Try to, you know, bunch them together,
02:48either at the beginning of the day
02:50or at the end of the day.
02:52But honestly, we'll go out there
02:53and meet you at any time.
02:55So just make two appointments.
02:56Make one for the Circa.
02:58And if you want to try to do them close together,
03:00just do them about an hour apart.
03:02It won't necessarily be an hour,
03:03but it's close enough
03:05that we'll be able to make it work.
03:07So I'm either of myself.
03:08Sorry, go ahead.
03:10Will I sign up with the same person at both places
03:12or two different people?
03:13Not necessarily.
03:14It could be two different people.
03:16I may drive over there to meet them.
03:18Otherwise, I'm going to actually have someone.
03:20At this time of year,
03:21it becomes more difficult for me to travel
03:23between the two properties.
03:24So I'm actually going to have someone down there
03:27taking care of all the Westgate appointments,
03:30probably from here on out.
03:31So I've been driving back and forth all summer,
03:34which is entertaining
03:35because most people enjoy
03:37my 30-year-old Toyota Camry.
03:40Were you driving them yourself back and forth?
03:43Occasionally.
03:45Some opt-in.
03:47Others declined.
03:49Yeah.
03:50In order to get customers in the beginning,
03:52that was one of our hooks
03:54that Dave and I would tell people
03:55that we would say,
03:56hey, we pick you up at the airport
03:57and we'll bring you to both.
03:59We'll actually physically drive you to both.
04:02And some of the stories
04:03and some of the relationships
04:04that came from those car ride conversations
04:07were funny.
04:08They're long-lasting
04:09because it gives you extra time with the client
04:11and the client has extra time with you.
04:13Like we've talked about,
04:14this is a trust-based business
04:15and if they don't ever have a chance
04:16to get to know you,
04:17you're never going to develop that bond,
04:19that trust.
04:20So it's time well spent.
04:21I used to pick people
04:22and drop people off at the airport too.
04:25Yeah, I would agree.
04:27I met a couple.
04:28I picked up a couple from Caesars
04:31and they didn't know where to sit.
04:33And so they sat in the back
04:34like I was their Uber.
04:35And I was like,
04:36okay, we're just driving on our Uber.
04:38So we were just Ubering it back and forth.
04:41And I was like,
04:41this is really awkward, guys.
04:43Just let you know,
04:43this is really weird
04:44that nobody's in the front seat
04:45and you two are in the back seat.
04:47So it does create some interesting memories
04:49and leaves a lasting impression
04:51on the customer.
04:52So I love to hear that,
04:54that you're doing that.
04:56But it is August the 14th.
04:59So we're basically like less than a month away
05:01from the start of the football season.
05:03Although technically you can re-up Survivor
05:05after those first couple of international games
05:07or 9-9 and 9-10 games
05:09before we get to Sunday.
05:10But like,
05:11when do we get to crunch time?
05:12Like how far away are we from like,
05:15you're sleeping
05:16where you're literally sitting right now.
05:18You're basically sleeping there.
05:20I would say we're seven days away from that.
05:25Seven to 10 days away from that.
05:27It'll start.
05:28It's already started.
05:29It's already started.
05:30Typically,
05:32you know,
05:32it had been three,
05:34four appointments
05:36every couple of days,
05:37maybe a day,
05:38you know,
05:38with one or two.
05:39And now we're at the point coming up
05:41where some 10 appointment days
05:43are beginning to work in.
05:44And yeah,
05:45the waves of the tsunami are beginning,
05:48but the actual tidal wave is yet to come.
