00:10to capture the story of nevada's bookmakers this is a project to explore the careers of 10 of the
00:18most influential sports book directors in the history of las vegas richard shoots has been on
00:24this show and the ceo of america's betters voice and david g swartz who i don't think i ever met

00:30unlv gaming historian author and the oblongsman at unlv are going to identify 10 historically
00:37significant bookmakers and whose stories will be preserved as part of the project there'll be an
00:43advisory committee formed to identify participants whose interviews will become part of a permanent
00:50collection of the oral history research center in the library at unlv oral histories will be
00:56available to historians research researchers and the public you better believe i'm going to be
01:02listening and watching however they put that out and i can't wait to see who they pick because roxy
01:08roxburgh will be one guaranteed roxy will be one but how many others part of the stardust people who
01:16are part of even circa people who are part of the legendary books that were in las vegas that that's
01:23going to be super fun to see how that all plays out i'm really excited to see how that goes

01:27that comes out which 10 will be telling their history so to learn more about bookmaking and the
01:32history of bookmaking in las vegas with unlv and spanky is heavily involved in this it's very cool it
01:38was made that announcement was made at betbash so i'll be watching for that for sure coming up here
