00:00After weeks of heat and high temperatures, fresher weather is arriving, with rain and
00:05thunderstorms now possible in some areas. The Met Office says conditions will become
00:11more changeable, particularly in the south, as temperatures fall and showers become more
00:17widespread. For many people, it will be a noticeable break from the recent hot and dry
00:22spell, but a yellow heat health alert remains in place for parts of southern England into
00:28the new week. The latest forecast suggests some areas could see heavy showers, hail or
00:33thunder later on in the week. Forecasters say the change will bring cooler and settled conditions,
00:39although some sunshine is still expected between showers for now.
