02:34This is a battle you don't want to go with and you don't want to go forward with because 20
02:41years from now, when LSU is talking about the greatest football players that have ever played there, your name won't

02:49Every football player has and wants to be known for their legacy.
02:55You know, the only people who don't talk about legacies are people who don't have legacies.

03:16Like, I could see Troy Aikman being ticked off at UCLA over Dante Moore going up to Oregon after he

03:32But over giving a player and a prospect his college football number?
03:37You've got to be kidding me.
03:39This is not something you want to be in, and this is not something that you really want LSU to

03:46Look, building a college football resume and building one of the greatest legacies of all time when you're talking your
03:53football career, I value what I did at the University of Miami.
03:58I've got a legacy at Miami, and I'm guarding that legacy at the University of Miami.
04:04It may not be what Warren Sapp, or it may not be what Ray Lewis or those guys accomplished, but
04:10to me, it matters.
04:12And it matters to every football player that's ever played at any of the big-time college football schools.
04:18Many people will look at you years from now and say, wow, I remember those great teams.
04:23CNN just did a story on us and my football team, and that was 40 years ago.
04:29The story came out this week, and it talked about our accomplishments.
04:33It talked about what we meant to the college game of today.
04:37It talked about how much that we were mavericks in what college sports is today and how it looks.
04:43That was 40 years ago, and that article just came out with CNN and talked about the 1980s Canes.
04:52He'll do the same thing 20 years from now.
04:55Looking back on this saying, guy, why would I go after LSU over the simplest thing of a kid getting
05:02his number?
05:04Makes more sense.
05:05But this is the landscape, and this is where we are in college sports today with the college player.
05:10It's not about the school anymore, and it's not about the name on the front of the jersey.
05:16It's more about the name on the back of the jersey, unfortunately.
05:19And this is where the game is today, and this is where college players are today.
