00:00You know, the football team that just continues to just chug along here is the San Francisco 49ers.
00:06You know, you've got to really start saying that this is one of the best organizations in all the National
00:11Football League by the way they do business.
00:13John Lynch, their general manager, has done a spectacular job at putting talent on the football team.
00:18And there's Kyle Shanahan.
00:19But really, at the end of the day, we all know Kyle Shanahan is a hell of a coach.
00:24We all know that John Lynch has done a great job at putting people on the field.
00:28But this guy here is going to be gauged on what he does in the postseason.
00:35How do you feel at 6-0?
00:37I feel good that we just won a game.
00:39I mean, 6-0 is better than any other options in your record.
00:42But definitely, I mean, I feel good when the year's over and you're the last team to win the last
00:49game of the year.
00:49So I'll wait till that moment.
00:53It really is all about the postseason with him.
00:55You know, he's a great play designer.
00:58He's a great coach.
01:00He does great things in-game.
01:02His play designs are spectacular.
01:04But he's going to be gauged on what he does in the postseason, as is Brock Purdy.
01:10Obviously, just with the lead that we had and stuff, it's like, you know, put your foot on the gas
01:14pedal and go make plays and put the game away kind of thing.
01:18And not put our defense in that kind of situation.
01:21You know, that's where my mind goes.
01:22But, you know, at the same time, you know, it's the NFL, man.
01:26Every single Sunday, today, Monday, it's, you know, it's a competitive game.
01:30You've got the best players in the world and the sport playing.
01:33And you just never know what can happen.
01:34So, yeah, I'm obviously a little upset with how I finish the game and stuff.
01:40But I know that moving forward, like, every single game matters when it comes down to playoffs and getting in
01:45and all the things.
01:46So, we'll take this dub as a team, watch the film.
01:49And, you know, we've got to be happy with it, man.
01:51And we've got a short week.
01:52So, we do have a chance to get on the plane and go to Atlanta and play better.
01:56I dig that guy's demeanor, man.
01:58For Mr. Irrelevant to now making 50-plus million bucks, there's no question all those starts that he had when
02:06he was at Iowa State have mattered.
02:08I mean, he's in the MVP conversation.
02:11We're going to talk about that here in a couple minutes.
02:13But, man, what just a great find.
02:16And, by the way, would we not say this?
02:18After that whole Trey Lance disaster, Brock Purdy probably saved John Lynch's job being able to find a guy like
02:25that in the seventh round.
02:26Now, we go over to the other side.
02:28I'm really starting to debate.
02:30I think that the Washington Commanders just might be the stupidest team on the planet.
02:35And the head coach and the quarterback are in that group of decision-making.
02:39I don't get it.
02:40Again, you saw the guy talking about fourth down.
02:44Everybody in the booth, Aikman and Buck were talking, you've got to give your team an opportunity.
02:49And then Dan Quinn had to answer questions about him fumbling the fourth down in the game.
02:54No, I definitely knew it was fourth down.
02:55We were going for it.
02:56And I was, I think of what you're referring to, I was probably saying, like, with the illegal shift, there's
03:00not a penalty to go for a field goal.
03:03Stop.
03:03Like, it doesn't go, like, it's the turn on downs.
03:05Really?
03:07Okay, so let's over-explain being an idiot.
03:11Thank you very much.
03:12I mean, I really don't get it in where he's going here.
03:16And then, now you're talking about a coach who's going to give you owner's speech.
03:22You know what owner's speech is?
03:23I've got to explain myself why I should keep my job.
03:27I love the way we ended the third quarter and, you know, most of the fourth.
03:33You mean it's still playing hard for you?
03:34For sure.
03:35I think our team's demonstrated.
03:37These guys were built for tough spots and moments.
03:41But, damn, the first half was rough.
03:43To have third downs go poorly on both sides of the ball, I thought that was going to be one
03:46of the real keys to the game.
03:48They had come in first and third downs, and so for us, like, getting some stops, getting it back.
03:53But 23 felt worse than that, honestly.
03:57And so I thought for the first half, San Francisco's already a tough team, and we spent way too much
04:01time in the first half, I thought, battling ourselves.
04:04I'm sick about the ending.
04:06Proud of the way the guys battle and fight.
04:09And, you know, that was my thoughts, you know, with the team.
04:13Yeah, that's like a captain out to sea with no compass.
04:17That's what you're hearing there.
04:18That's just, like, no direction.
04:21And you see it in the way he coaches, and you see it in the way Jaden Daniels plays in
04:27his preparation and how he plays football.
04:30I think we're for sure capable of doing stuff like that, right?
04:34You know, we show glimpses.
04:36We show flashes of, you know, how we can be when we're at our best and when we're shooting ourselves
04:40in the foot.
04:41And, you know, we just can't come out here and, you know, start off slow between a 5-0 and
04:47a 6-0 team like that and the 49ers.
04:49You know, we went out, we competed hard.
04:51But, you know, competing can only get you too far.
04:53So far in this league, you got to do whatever it takes to win the game, and we didn't win.
04:58Man, you know, you really have to ask yourself sometimes when these guys are making all these excuses for failure.
05:04Hey, dude, sometimes you got to have self-reflection and look at yourself.
05:07I mean, Jaden Daniels has won two ballgames, is it, since his rookie season?
05:13Two.
05:14This guy's a former rookie of the year.
05:16Why am I seeing RG3 2.0 here?
05:19I don't know.
05:20I mean, it's starting to look like this now, and you see the tremendous talent that the kid has.
05:27But it's just not smart football.
05:30You know, you can be the most talented guy on the planet and not the smartest player.
05:35It's starting to look like that.
