00:00Bluey is one of the most loved cartoons in the world right now.
00:03But not every character gets the same treatment from the fans.
00:06Some are adored, some are genuinely exhausting to watch,
00:09and a few sit somewhere in the middle, depending entirely on who you ask.
00:14And today, we are going through the most loved and most hated characters in Bluey,
00:18and some of these might genuinely surprise you.
00:21Let's start with the hated side, because honestly, it is more fun.
00:25First up, Old Pug.
00:27She appears in the episode Granny Mobile.
00:30Where she wants to buy Doreen's mobility scooter.
00:32And from the moment she arrives, she is awful.
00:35She is rude to everyone around her.
00:37She breaks a cup and refuses to pay for it.
00:39I'm not paying for any of this.
00:41She blames Chili.
00:42She calls Bandit fat, and then she starts yelling at Muffin,
00:46who is a three-year-old just playing around.
00:48And then, at the very end,
00:50after everyone goes out of their way to help her get an electric scooter,
00:53she sticks her tongue out at them.
00:55Bye!
00:57She is one of those characters who exists purely to be unpleasant,
01:00and she does it very effectively.
01:03Then there is Hercules, the St. Bernard pup,
01:06who kept forcing Wynton to lie on the ground so he could jump over him.
01:10Nobody wanted to play his game.
01:12Nobody asked for his game.
01:14But Hercules did not care,
01:15because he was bigger than everyone else, and he knew it.
01:18Fine, I'll just stand here and do this.
01:23Using size to push smaller kids around is never a good look.
01:26He only appeared briefly, but left a strong impression, and not a good one.
01:31Now here is one that divides people more than you would expect, Tina,
01:35Bluey's imaginary friend from the Season 3 episode of the same name.
01:39I'm going to meet Tina.
01:41Who?
01:42Tina!
01:42She's our friend!
01:44Tina is invisible.
01:45She causes a completely unreasonable amount of damage for a character who technically does not exist,
01:51and her hygiene situation is genuinely concerning.
01:54I'm sorry, but you stink.
01:56Yeah, when was the last time she had a bath?
01:59Her teeth fall out, which the show treats as completely normal.
02:02She ignores advice, she fights other imaginary friends,
02:06and she was so destructive in the original version of her episode
02:09that the creators had to rewrite it just to make the story work.
02:13Most people who talk about Tina online agree she is frustrating to watch.
02:18She is designed to be chaotic, but that does not make her any easier to sit through.
02:22Next is Coco.
02:24The pink poodle is not evil, and there are fans who genuinely like her.
02:28But Coco has a habit of being selfish in a very specific way.
02:32In Wild Girls, she tries to force her friends to only play the games she wants.
02:36In Circus, she pressures Bluey into making Mackenzie be her pretend husband.
02:40She does not listen when the answer is no, and that gets old quickly.
02:44Being the youngest of nine siblings probably explains why she behaves this way,
02:48but understanding the reason does not always make the behavior easier to watch.
02:53Judo is a similar case.
02:54In the episode Butterflies, Judo is genuinely mean to Bingo.
02:58She does not want to play with her, and makes Bingo feel like she has no value whatsoever.
03:03Bluey's my friend.
03:07She apologizes by the end of the episode, but that moment stayed with people.
03:11A lot of fans find Judo annoying, even in episodes where she is not doing anything wrong,
03:16and it mostly comes back to the way she treated Bingo that one time.
03:20Now let's talk about Chloe's dad.
03:22He is not a bad person at all, but he is a very specific kind of annoying that adults recognize
03:27immediately.
03:28He cannot stop correcting people.
03:30In the episode Octopus, the kids are happily playing a game,
03:34and he stops everything to clarify that octopus limbs are actually tentacles and not arms.
03:40Nobody asked.
03:41The game was fine.
03:42He just had to say it.
03:44He genuinely wants to join in with the kids,
03:46but does not know how to turn off the part of his brain that needs to be right,
03:50even when everyone just wants to play.
03:52A lot of people have met someone exactly like that,
03:55which is probably why the reaction to him is so strong.
03:58And then there is Grandpa Bob.
04:00Some fans did not even know he was alive.
04:03There was a theory for a while that he had passed away.
04:06When he first appeared in the flashback episode Fairy Tale,
04:09he couldn't remember his own son's name,
04:11and does nothing to help bandits start talking again.
04:14He is a father who simply does not pay much attention,
04:17and that is the part fans struggle to forgive.
04:20He reappears in the sign after being in India,
04:23which raises more questions than it answers.
04:25The jury is still very much out on Grandpa Bob.
04:28Now let's move to the loved side.
04:30And there are some great ones here.
04:32Snickers does not get a huge amount of screen time,
04:35but the fans who love him are devoted.
04:37He is a short-legged dog who is always last in every race,
04:40and he never once seems bothered by it.
04:43He just keeps going,
04:44cheering everyone else on while he is still a few steps behind.
04:47There is something genuinely refreshing about a character
04:50who has a limitation and simply does not make it anyone's problem.
04:53He just shows up and has fun.
04:55Fans love that about him.
04:57Muffin sits on both lists, depending on who you ask.
05:00Some people love her.
05:01She is genuinely funny, unpredictable,
05:04and brings an energy to every episode that the show would not have without her.
05:08But a lot of viewers find her exhausting.
05:10Her meltdowns are a little too realistic,
05:12and if you have ever dealt with a toddler who has not had enough sleep,
05:16some of Muffin's episodes feel less like comedy,
05:18and more like a flashback.
05:20She is not supposed to be easy.
05:21She is a kid who has not learned how to regulate herself yet,
05:24and the show knows exactly what it is doing with her,
05:27even when it is difficult to watch.
05:29Calypso is one of the most universally adored characters in the entire show.
05:33She is the smartest and most perceptive teacher imaginable.
05:37She understands what her students are going through
05:39without them ever having to explain it.
05:41She guides them towards solving their own problems.
05:44And there is something almost magical about the way she operates.
05:47Quietly present, never overbearing,
05:50always knowing exactly what the moment needs.
05:53Every fan remembers Calypso.
05:55Jean-Luc only appeared in one episode,
05:57but the fans who love him are loud about it.
05:59He is the French-speaking Labrador that Bluey met during camping,
06:02and their connection was immediate and genuine.
06:06People dream about seeing him return,
06:08and play a bigger role in Bluey's future.
06:10He made one appearance,
06:11and has lived in the fandom ever since.
06:14Rusty is probably the most liked side character in the whole series.
06:18His dad is in the army,
06:20which means he handles absence and uncertainty
06:22as a completely normal part of his life,
06:24and he does it without making it anyone else's problem.
06:27He just keeps going,
06:29plays fair,
06:30treats everyone well,
06:31and makes every game more fun the moment he joins it.
06:34Episodes like Army and Cricket
06:36hit adults especially hard
06:37when you understand the context of what Rusty is dealing with at home.
06:40A lot of parents have left comments
06:42saying they cried watching those episodes.
06:44That is not a reaction you expect to have
06:47watching a small red dog play cricket.
06:49Frisky is loved across the board.
06:51She is Chili's best friend,
06:53Bluey's godmother,
06:54and one half of one of the best couples in the show.
06:56She is caring,
06:58warm,
06:58and funny
06:59in a way that feels completely natural.
07:01The sign gave her one of the best emotional arcs in the entire series.
07:05Nobody has anything bad to say about Frisky.
07:07Chili is everything Bandit is to the girls,
07:10and then some.
07:11She is strong,
07:12patient,
07:13deeply loving,
07:14and quietly the most capable person in the healer household.
07:17She protects her daughter's dreams,
07:19shows up for her family even when she is exhausted,
07:21and does all of it without making a big deal about it.
07:24Chili deserves every bit of love the fandom gives her.
07:28Bingo is loved basically universally.
07:30The reason is because everything she does feels real.
07:33She gets excited the way real kids get excited.
07:36She gets upset the way real kids get upset.
07:38Even when she is being difficult,
07:40you understand exactly where she is coming from.
07:43Her dynamic with Bluey is the heart of the show.
07:46They fight,
07:47they disagree,
07:47but the warmth underneath it all is always there.
07:50And Bingo is not just a sidekick.
07:52She has her own episodes,
07:54her own arcs,
07:55and her own moments where she carries the whole story herself.
07:58Mackenzie is one of the most loved characters in the entire fandom.
08:02He is calm,
08:03smart,
08:03kind,
08:04and matches perfectly with Bluey.
08:06In a way,
08:06the show has been quietly building toward for years.
08:10Fans adore him,
08:10and given everything we know about Bluey's future,
08:13there is a very good chance Mackenzie becomes even more important to the story going forward.
08:18Then there is Bandit.
08:20And there is not much left to say about Bandit that has not already been said a hundred times.
08:25But the reason people love him is very specific.
08:28Because he is not perfect.
08:29He gets things wrong.
08:31He gets tired.
08:32He has bad days that have nothing to do with his kids.
08:34But he always shows up.
08:36What Bluey does with Bandit that most shows never do,
08:39is let him be a whole person.
08:41He has wants and frustrations,
08:42and moments of genuine selfishness.
08:45And then he sets all of that aside,
08:46because the moment requires it.
08:48That is why he hits so hard.
08:50And that is why Bandit Healer might be the most beloved animated dad ever made.
08:55And as always,
08:55we will see you in the next video.
