03:47Tonight, welcome to this episode of the
03:50Fro Wrestling Podcast where we've got
03:51news from all over the world of pro
03:53wrestling. We're going to jump right in
03:55with the biggest tease of the day, which
03:57was on Dynamite this week. The new day
04:00to AEW, kinda confirmed? The reason I say
04:06that, Swerve Strickland coming out
04:07interrupting Hangman Adam Page, Bandito,
04:11and Brody King, the Trios champions, and
04:14talking about challenging for the Trios
04:16titles himself. Well, he can't do that
04:20one-on-three, so he's got to have two
04:21partners, and he doesn't have any. So
04:24where could he possibly find two people
04:27to partner with? And of course, you
04:30know, certain people are going to make
04:31connections. You know, they know each
04:34other from his time in WWE, so obviously
04:36we're talking the new day. You know, the
04:39former Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, now
04:41just Kofi and Austin Creed. Is he going to
04:45team with Kofi and Creed to take on
04:47Bandito, Brody King, Hangman Page at
04:50London? All in? I would love to see it. It'd
04:54be an interesting way to debut the tag
04:56team. I also think if you do that, they'll
04:58win, because you're not going to have the
04:59New Day lose right away. Not sure what
05:01they'll call the team, though. You know,
05:03can't use the New Day. That's copywritten
05:05by WWE. But definitely a tease, something
05:07to keep an eye on. It makes more intrigue
05:10going into All In. CM Punk has been
05:13officially announced that he will be
05:15appearing at Worlds Collide. That will go
05:17head-to-head with All Out in Chicago. Same
05:21day. Same city. Same insanity as every
05:24other counter-programming thing that WWE's
05:27been doing lately. I get it. They're in
05:29Chicago. CM Punk's over like Rover. You'll
05:31pull some tickets away from AEW, but at the
05:33end of the day, I still believe that AEW
05:36will outdraw WWE, and then it almost makes
05:38CM Punk look worse, not better. But I
05:41understand they're trying to get TV deals,
05:43trying to pop ticket sales, make it look as
05:45good as possible, and I guess that's how
05:47you do it is by putting the WWE Champion
05:49on a AAA slash NXT crossover event to try
05:54to, you know, get more people engaged and
05:57paying attention. Gonna have to wait and see
05:59what his role's gonna be there. They
06:00haven't said that, but still, having him on
06:03the show, gonna get huge attention from
06:05the mainstream audience. Some internal
06:08reaction conversation about the tweets that
06:11Bayley put out this week. We've covered this
06:13in a previous episode where she tweeted
06:14tweeted something about something like
06:17said something like All In Baby, and she
06:19had the music for a song called All In
06:21playing in the background, and she was
06:23showing a training montage that included a
06:25video of her training with Mercedes
06:27Monet, and now we heard earlier in the
06:32week that AEW officials were like left
06:34with their heads scratching because they
06:35didn't understand where that was coming
06:37from. Everybody knows that she still has
06:39a contract. Now there's debate on when
06:41the contract runs out, but nobody thinks
06:43the contract's run out now. So how, she
06:45would never be able to appear at All In.
06:47It's just not possible. Actually, there's
06:50one insane, less than 1% chance way she
06:53could appear at All In. You know what that
06:54is? WWE coming to a working arrangement
06:57with AEW. Can you even imagine that
06:59happening? It is not gonna happen. Okay?
07:02The only other way is from the grant her
07:04release with no non-compete clause or
07:06whatsoever, knowing that one of the
07:07biggest shows of the year is coming up
07:09for AEW. Also not likely. So this is, it
07:12was strange for AEW, but now reports from
07:15backstage people in WWE, the quote is,
07:17it's eyebrow raising. Like, what is she
07:19doing? Is she just doing this to support
07:22her friend? Is that what she's doing? If
07:24it is, somebody needs to have a conversation
07:26with her at WWE headquarters and be like,
07:28hey, listen, you realize what this makes
07:30us look like here. And the word was this
07:32week, they're still trying to resign her. So
07:34if you have any hope of resigning her, you
07:35gotta temper your frustrations with her
07:38bringing attention to AEW and try to bring
07:40her back home. You know, I'm just saying
07:43conversation turns to SmackDown. It is
07:45being reported that as of January 8th,
07:482027, SmackDown will return to the three
07:51hour format and that this is becoming a
07:53cycle every year. They're going to go
07:55three hours from January to June and then
07:57go two hours from June through the rest of
07:59the year. Why? Why are we doing this when
08:02you don't have enough time to get Jordan
08:04Grace, Ilya Dragunov, people like that on
08:07television and you keep bringing people
08:10up from NXT and you've got a show like
08:13LFG where Shawn Michaels is telling
08:15everybody, I need to get these people
08:16ready as soon as possible. Well, that sounded
08:19more like Vince McMahon, I think, but
08:20whatever. Why? Why do you have to get
08:23people ready fast? You got too many people
08:25as it is. You showcase almost no matches
08:28each week and I really feel like, and I
08:29saw this on WrestleTalk News, which if you
08:31don't watch WrestleTalk, get on WrestleTalk,
08:33it's a great show, where they were talking
08:35about how WWE seems to book things in a
08:39way where they'll get you on TV for three
08:41weeks in a row and then they'll forget
08:42about you for three weeks because they're
08:44cycling through the different talent, get
08:45three weeks on, three weeks off, make you
08:47work less so they can pay you less and
08:49things like that. That's idiocy. Just put
08:53your talent on TV and if you can't come
08:55up with a way to put everybody on TV, then
08:57don't sign so many people and let them go
08:59work for a company that's going to. I
09:01don't even know who that is at this
09:02point. But in all seriousness, a company
09:05with the size, the revenue that WWE has,
09:07you've got companies like NXT, Evolve,
09:11AAA. There's conversation about a
09:13Japanese expansion. There's conversation
09:14about reopening a European expansion. There
09:17was conversation about an Indian
09:18expansion. Expand all you want. Give
09:22all your talent some screen time. There's
09:24no sense to be paying millions of
09:26dollars a year to all these different
09:27people to sit at home and do nothing of
09:30substance. So hopefully the three-hour
09:32Smackdown returning, I'm all in favor of.
09:35And I hope it stays that way in
09:37perpetuity because I don't want to see a
09:39two-hour show. I might be in a minority
09:41and I understand sometimes three-hour
09:43shows can get monotonous. Take a hint from
09:46Tony Khan's most recent pay-per-view shows
09:49and forget all the storyline BS and for
09:53the people who never get on TV, just give
09:55them matches. Just give them matches. Stop
09:58with 9,000 vignettes and 4,000 commercials
10:00and every other way you could possibly
10:02think of to put in anything but wrestling
10:04on a wrestling show. No, give your talent
10:07that never get on the show matches in
10:09that third hour and give us more wrestling
10:11content because that's why we tune in. So
10:13I can't wait for them to go back. And the
10:15last thing for tonight, Chelsea Green with
10:17her orbital bone fracture that came coming
10:20out of Smackdown. Concern was there that
10:22they may strip her of the interim women's
10:24World Heavyweight Championship. I got to
10:27make sure I say the right one because I
10:28want to be fair. Also conversation about
10:31making her full-fledged women's WWE
10:33champion. And now the word is after this
10:36injury, they will not be stripping her of
10:38the championship. It sounds as though
10:40she'll be on Smackdown this week, ready to
10:43go. And that's a good thing because quite
10:45frankly, she's waited so long for this
10:47opportunity. The orbital bone thing is
10:49like a freak situation. She'll be out for a
10:51few weeks, won't be able to compete, but
10:53she could still do things on the mic as
10:55long as she looks all right. She's
10:57presentable to TV. Keep her involved.
10:59We've had people like Brock and Roman run
11:02away with their championships for months
11:03on end. I don't think it's that much to
11:05ask to give her a little grace in a few
11:07weeks of not having to compete and keep
11:09her championship. Heck, Liv Morgan's only
11:10defended her title once in like four or
11:12five months. So I don't think we should be
11:14bugging her to drop hers this fast. Kind of
11:16ridiculous. That's all the time we have for
