04:26Tonight we're jumping into some conversation about a WWE superstar that looks to be ready for a return.

04:32Some intriguing stuff comes out on X.

04:35On October 10th, during the Money in the Bank festivities, they have announced some meet and greets.

04:40Now, if you're paying attention to the programming since SummerSlam, we have not seen certain superstars since that show.

04:47The meet and greets are going to be in New Orleans, Louisiana, home of Money in the Bank.

04:51And on 10-10, Seth Rollins has now been booked for a meet and greet appearance.

04:56He has not been on any programming since SummerSlam.

05:00Now, he's done a house show.

05:02Okay?

05:03When they were down in Chile and down in Mexico, stuff like that, he did some things down there.

05:06But nothing on television.

05:08It sounds as though Seth Rollins may be coming back for Money in the Bank.

05:11Perhaps he'll get involved in one of the qualifying matches.

05:13Maybe it's a last-minute ad or something like that.

05:15We do need to get him back to television.

05:17The show suffers without having a talent of his stature on there.

05:21Especially when your champion is Roman Reigns, who doesn't show up every single week.

05:24So when he's not there, you need to supplement with somebody.

05:26The Obas, the Seth Rollinses, the Braun Breakers, people like that.

05:29So if you're going to do this, I think it's a great idea.

05:31Let's get him back to TV.

05:32Hey, somebody else who's coming back to TV, this on the AEW side of things,

05:37people were very excited to see the return of Dr. Britt Baker.

05:40She came back, did the show for the Rebel Heart episode of Dynamite.

05:43And people said, well, wait a minute.

05:44She hasn't been on TV since.

05:45You're right.

05:46She's been off.

05:47But she is in the plans for several television appearances in the next couple weeks,

05:50especially the September 30th episode, which will be live from Pittsburgh, her hometown.

05:56I expect that whatever, if there were any issues,

05:58which I'm starting to question whether there were or not,

06:00not because Britt Baker said that her hiatus was a big part of that was her decision.

06:04So maybe there were no issues.

06:06Maybe people were making that convoluted explanations about why she wasn't on television

06:11and making some stuff up.

06:12I don't know.

06:13I wasn't there.

06:14What I can tell you is she is in the plans now.

06:16And I think we're going to get to see a whole lot more of Britt Baker and AEW,

06:18which could only be good for the product.

06:20Somebody else we're going to see in AEW programming, Ilia Dragunov.

06:24It has now been made somewhat official.

06:25The news is reporting everywhere that he has officially signed with AEW,

06:31that the holdup was his visa issues.

06:33When he ceases employment with WWE, you have to get a different visa

06:37because your current visa was about your deal with WWE.

06:40Now that it's been resolved, he's signed to a contract supposedly.

06:44And now when are we going to see him?

06:46Well, the word is very soon.

06:47And it's maybe as soon as AEW's all out pay-per-view.

06:51It would make a lot of sense to debut him at a big show like that.

06:54I think the fans would love to see it.

06:56I think it makes a lot of sense.

06:57And I think he is a perfect addition to the roster.

07:00That hard-hitting, fast-paced, not everybody's a jacked-up muscle head.

07:04They just appreciate great wrestling.

07:06And let's be honest, Ilia Dragunov is one of the best wrestlers in the world.

07:10This is a guy who took it, you know, went toe-to-toe with Gunther when he was still Walter

07:14and really put on some bangers in WWE UK.

07:17He's wrestled all over the world.

07:19Progress, WXW.

07:21Check out his stuff on YouTube if you don't know what I'm talking about.

07:23His WWE stuff was fantastic, but it still wasn't as good as his stuff pre-WWE

07:27because there's so many reigns that WWE puts on wrestlers and things they won't let them do.

07:31This guy's about to hit AEW, and it's going to blow up.

07:34And he's going to be fantastic for their roster.

07:36I can't wait to see him and Ospreay in the ring.

07:39I think that's going to happen.

07:40I don't think they're going to wait forever to make it happen either.

07:42I think it'll be a great, great match.

07:44Technical masterpiece.

07:46From there, Malakai Black, okay, gets released from WWE, and he's now breaking his silence on that release.

07:54And first off, talked about how difficult it was getting released.

07:57That's challenging to begin with.

07:58But then talked about that his word was a mountain of promises that were made to him that never happened.

08:04At one point, he talked about how he was supposed to be in a match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania

08:07this year.

08:08We all know that ended up going to an Orton-Cody Rhodes match.

08:12So what happened?

08:12How did they say that?

08:13And if you don't remember, way back when we weren't sure who Cody Rhodes was talking to on the phone,

08:18they kept putting Malakai Black in the background, like when they were recording videos.

08:22That could have led to something.

08:24And apparently, it sounds like it was supposed to lead to something.

08:26Why WWE dropped this, I don't understand.

08:28And I don't want to hear the nonsense about how he wasn't getting over.

08:31You can't get over when you're not on television.

08:34It doesn't work.

08:36This is a missed opportunity by WWE, and he's clearly very frustrated with this.

08:39And he said, instead, he got a dud year.

08:42And I agree with him.

08:43The whole time he was back, they never took any of the opportunity to really showcase his talent,

08:47put him in prime positions to be a leading player.

08:50And then you want to critique him on his popularity.

08:52You cannot get over if you're not exposed.

08:54Dan Housen was so overexposed that they're not even putting him on television now.

08:59What, are they going to fire Dan Housen now if he's not on TV frequently enough?

09:02Like, it just doesn't make sense to me.

09:04You get great talent, you put him on television.

09:06Stop all nine trillion commercials.

09:08I get it.

09:09It's a money-making business.

09:10Stick with three hours every week on SmackDown now and forever and use those to get more people on television

09:15so people can develop a fandom for every character that you've got, every single wrestler on your roster.

09:20Because this, Malakai Black, very unique skill set, wonderfully talented individual, the new progress world champion.

09:28And he just, he deserved a better run here.

09:30He really did.

09:31And it's not just him losing his wife, Zelina Vega, leaving WWE as well.

09:35I'm sure they did them as a package deal just to try to be, you know, pleasant about it.

09:38But I don't know.

09:39I just, I don't like it.

09:40And to hear that he was supposed to be a part of so many things and had so many promises

09:43broken is just disheartening.

09:45When you think about, you know, when you make a deal with somebody, you should be able to hold them

09:49to their word.

09:50And at this point, if I'm a talent and I'm going to WWE or I'm thinking about WWE, those promises

09:55aren't going to be promises anymore.

09:57If I was every talent in WWE, promises would have to go away.

10:00They'd have to be contractual.

10:01If you come back, you will get a world championship run.

10:04You will get a program with these select individuals, things like that.

10:07That's where we're at now.

10:09Now, you don't have to do that in AEW because everybody faces everybody at some point.

10:12That's one thing I'll give Tony Khan a ton of credit for.

10:14But in WWE, making promises and falling through on them is something that goes all the way back to the

10:18Vince McMahon era.

10:19And that's ridiculous.

10:20Telling people what money they're going to make, who they're going to feud with, who's going to be champion, how

10:23long you're going to be champion, who you're going to face.

10:26I'll draw comparisons to the Bret Hart losing the championship to Yokozuna so Hogan could win it a few seconds

10:31later because it was supposed to lead to a match between Bret and Hogan.

10:34Those things, you've got to hold true to your word or your word is your bond or your words mean

10:40nothing.

10:40And I'm sad that in 2026, we could have had an opportunity to see a much better version of Malachi

10:45Black.

10:46We'd lose it because people just don't hold to the promises they make.

10:49And I feel like that's a common theme we're seeing with these talents that are leaving WWE where people are

10:53choosing not to re-up.

10:54And there's reasons for that.

10:55And it's the way they're being booked.

10:57Like WWE is terrible at booking right now.

10:59They really are.

11:00There's a few angles that are wonderful.

11:02I think SmackDown is better than Raw.

11:03But none of them are what they were at the beginning of the Triple H era.

11:08So, again, we'll have to wait and see how things play out.

11:10But for now, do me a favor.
