Kiren Rijiju Slams Opposition: “Government Ready for Debate, Why Are They Running Away?”

ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಗದ್ದಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಚರ್ಚೆಯ ಬಿಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ನಡುವೆ, ಸಂಸದೀಯ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಸಚಿವ ಕಿರೆನ್ ರಿಜಿಜು ಅವರು ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತೀವ್ರ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಕ್ತ, ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಿದ್ದರೂ, ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಸ್ಪೀಕರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದು, ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಿದ್ದರೂ ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷ ಏಕೆ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸರಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ?” ಎಂದು ರಿಜಿಜು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju strongly criticised the opposition over the ongoing parliamentary deadlock. He said the government is ready for an open, extensive and detailed discussion and to provide answers, but alleged that the opposition is refusing to participate.
Rijiju said the Home Minister has also written to the Lok Sabha Speaker, urging him to persuade opposition leaders to agree to the discussion. He questioned whether such a situation is good for parliamentary democracy and the country.
