FCRA Bill Sent to JPC: KC Venugopal Demands Withdrawal, Questions Govt’s Intent
ಎಫ್ಸಿಆರ್ಎ ಮಸೂದೆಯನ್ನು ಜಂಟಿ ಸಂಸದೀಯ ಸಮಿತಿಗೆ (ಜೆಪಿಸಿ) ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಂಸದ ಕೆ.ಸಿ. ವೇಣುಗೋಪಾಲ್ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಸೂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊನೆಯ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತರಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿರುವ ಅವರು, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಸೂದೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆರ್ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಗೆ ವಿದೇಶಿ ದೇಣಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಎನ್ಜಿಒಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರನ್ನು ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸುವ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
The FCRA Bill has been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). Congress MP KC Venugopal criticized the government, alleging that the bill was introduced at the last minute and demanded its withdrawal. He also questioned the government’s approach towards NGOs and minorities while raising concerns over foreign donations received by the RSS.
