ಯುವಕರ ಕುರಿತು ತಾವು ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸಂಸದೆ ಕಂಗನಾ ರಣಾವತ್ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು, ಬೆಟ್ಟಿಂಗ್, ಜೂಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾರ್ಕ್ ವೆಬ್‌ನಂತಹ ವ್ಯಸನಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಾಗ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ವರ್ಗದ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದ್ದಾಗಿ ಕಂಗನಾ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ಅವರು ಸಂಸತ್ ಆವರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಬೇಕೇ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿರುವ ಕಂಗನಾ, ಕೆಲವರ IQ ಕುರಿತು ಕೂಡ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has clarified her controversial remarks involving the term “cockroaches,” saying that she was not referring to all young people.
Ranaut said her comments were directed at specific sections of people in the context of issues such as drug addiction, betting, gambling and the dark web. She questioned why people were offended if they themselves used the term “cockroach.”
She also reacted to questions about Union Home Minister Amit Shah, asking whether he was expected to come to the Parliament courtyard and answer journalists one-on-one. She further criticised her critics over what she described as their low IQ.
