The EV2 has just proven at the Norwegian "El Prix," the world's largest range test for electric vehicles, that its WLTP range is not only realistic but can even be exceeded by up to 5.4 percent under everyday conditions, depending on the version – achieving the best result among all compact and mid-size vehicles in the test. Furthermore, the EV2 impresses with its agility and performance, not only in the city but also on country roads and highways. In the version with a 61 kWh battery and 19-inch wheels, it delivers 99.5 kW (135 hp), accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 161 km/h. Among the all-round qualities of this B-SUV is its towing capability (braked and unbraked towing capacity of 750 kg). The intelligent recuperation system Plus ("Smart Regenerative System Plus"), which comes standard on the Black Line, contributes to the vehicle's long range. It uses navigation and route information to make early adjustments to braking force and speed, so the driver doesn't have to use the brake pedal – for example, before intersections, curves, or roundabouts, and also when speed limits change.
