The more powerful hybrid with 130 hp system output forms the core of the Yaris Cross powertrain lineup and is standard across the Active, Teamplayer, Lounge, and GR SPORT trim levels. It can be paired with front-wheel drive, and for the Teamplayer and Lounge trims, with the intelligent AWD-i all-wheel-drive system, which provides enhanced safety and stability.
Introduced in 2024, this powertrain combines smooth and direct acceleration with the outstanding efficiency and low emissions for which Toyota hybrid technology is renowned. The system output of 96 kW/130 hp and 185 Nm of torque enable acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds. With fuel consumption ranging from 4.4 to 5.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions are a mere 99–115 g/km.
The entry-level Pure model is also available with a hybrid powertrain producing 116 hp system output and 141 Nm of torque. CO2 emissions are 100-107 g/km, fuel consumption is 4.4-4.7 l/100 km.
