The heart of the Fabia 130 is an improved 1.5 TSI EVO2 engine, now producing 130 kW (177 hp) instead of the original 110 kW (150 hp). Škoda's powertrain specialists optimized several components, including the intake manifold, vibration damper, and rocker arms, to achieve this increased output. The engine now develops more power from 3,500 rpm, with its peak output of 130 kW available between 5,750 and 6,000 rpm. Maximum torque of 250 Nm is available between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. The 7-speed DSG transmission has been specifically updated with key improvements, including higher shift points for faster acceleration, rev-matching downshifts in Sport mode for smoother gear changes, and modified braking logic for quicker re-acceleration.

The engine now develops more power from 3,500 rpm, with peak output of 130 kW available between 5,750 and 6,000 rpm. According to the latest tests, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.4 seconds, making it 0.4 seconds faster than the standard model. Acceleration from 60 to 100 km/h is achieved in 3.8 seconds (compared to 4.1 seconds), and from 80 to 120 km/h in 4.8 seconds (compared to 5.3 seconds). With a top speed of 228 km/h, this is Škoda's fastest production Fabia to date.
