The 132 kW (180 hp) Seltos 1.6 T-GDI owes its agility to a maximum torque of 265 Nm, which the four-cylinder direct-injection engine delivers across a wide rev range from 1,600 to 4,500 rpm. The front-wheel-drive automatic model sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds (AWD: 9.0 seconds; 2WD with manual transmission: 9.2 seconds) and reaches a top speed of 208 km/h (AWD: 205 km/h; 2WD with manual transmission: 200 km/h). The compact SUV also demonstrates its capabilities when towing: all drive variants can pull braked trailers weighing up to 1.3 tons (750 kg unbraked).
The Seltos Hybrid, which will follow at the end of 2026, will also be available with front-wheel and all-wheel drive. It will be the first Kia to be equipped with the new e-AWD system from the Hyundai Motor Group, to which Kia belongs. In this all-wheel-drive system, the rear wheels are driven by an electric motor, enabling particularly precise torque distribution, optimized traction, and greater stability. Furthermore, the electrified version of the SUV will be the first hybrid model from the Hyundai Motor Group to feature the "Vehicle-to-Load" (V2L) function and will therefore be available with a 230-volt socket.
